This is my guy if the Suns stay at 16...though he may not be there...

He is quite impressive as a physical talent. The Zach LaVine of this draft. That workout clip was mediocre though. Did not like that flat shot. This is my guy if the Suns stay at 16...though he may not be there...

This is my take on his commentsIgor is a level-headed guy- a diplomat, if you will. Nothing good can come out of him singing one guy's praises when he doesn't know nearly as much about others. Media types love drama. Igor is not going to give them any material. If he is adamant about Doncic, Sarver, James, and Ryan will know it. You and I will not.

The combine measurements on Trae Young are worrisome... not taking anything away from the rest of his game.
Was Ayton not at the combine or did he skip?
Holy crap Bamba is long.
His measurements are fairly similar to the other point guards tested, but he is at or near the bottom in most categories and his wingspan is not a plus either. He's basically the same size as Sexton, but loses over 4 inches in wingspan.
He has an immature body and will probably still grow. Wingspan usually continues growing a little even after height growth stops. The more I look at the measurements on Jaren Jackson Jr., the more I like him. He is over a year younger than Bamba and I think he will have the more complete game.
That measurements chart has to be wrong on Wendell Carter. A standing reach of 7'11"? That's undersized point guard territory.
It's listed as 9'1 now.
I believe that was the Doug and Wold interview right after Monday's press conference. I heard it on my way to work. I think he was trying not to sound effusive in his praise of Doncic while also making sure not to discount him...I didn't take a lot away from it one way or the other, personally.
I still can't find the interview that got me to thinking this way (talking about Doncic needing to improve) but I did find a similar quote in a Scott Bordow article. There is nothing even remotely negative in it about Luka but still, I find it interesting that "he needs to get better" is so prevalent in his comments.
Hopefully (this is) not a final product of Luka Doncic,” Kokoskov said. “He’s 19. If you ask me, ‘Does he have space to get better in every aspect of his basketball game?’ He can be better. He’s a great passer. He can be better. He’s a good shooter. He can be better. Can his body be better? No question. I think there is a lot of room for him to improve
Thursday and Friday the NBA draft combine is on ESPN. I plan to give it a look starting at Noon today. It's on channel 209 on DirecTV.
