I don't think it's a good idea to have four studs at similar age. Will $arver pay all of them to stay or just go with three guys and the rest play second fiddles. However getting four and paying the best two of Jackson, Ayton, Doncic/Young (Booker is max in my opinion) in two years sounds alright as well.

So looking forward to next year. Booker, Jackson, Ayton, Kokoskov, party!

Another reason I'm sceptical about four studs is one basketball and Amaré, Nash, Marion and JJ. Should have dealt Marion and kept JJ. Four is a crowd.

Draymon and Klay are cool with it.

The Suns should have extended Joe Johnson and won a championship. IMO, Marion should have been the odd man out of this four if push came to shove.

I think Marion was wildly underrated.

Check out that jaw dropping stat. Marion, 30th in career wins above replacement, literally, everyone above him or near him on that list is in the Hall or going to be... I don't think he'll make it though. That guy was incredible. Guarded 4 positions, rebounded at an insane rate, especially early in his career and could put up 20 a night without having a single play ran specific for him.

I'm a Marion fan as well.

I was looking at it from the perspective, if the Suns had to replace one of their big four, Joe Johnson was the more versatile.

Although Johnson would not have wanted to play PF, he could have played positions 1-4.

Marion was a key piece of the "7 Seconds or Less Suns". We could not have played that fast and that small with someone else plugged in at PF so we could keep Amare at C. I loved JJ but we chose right that summer. Had we opened up the bank the year before for him it wouldn't have been an issue. Marion was not a max player but I think letting him test free agency might have showed him he wasn't a max player either. Had we kept JJ I think the trade rumors wouldn't have been about Marion like they were either, so who knows if he gets disgruntled like he did.

Shawn Marion never got tired. He could run full out all the time.

I'm not quite sure why we're talking about him but Shawn Marion was never quite the same player after the John Starks cheap-shot. IMO he absolutely belongs in the Hall of Fame.

I'm beginning to like Donte more and more.

I think DiVincenzo is an intriguing guy, too. He kind of reminds me of Majerle when he came into the league. I wonder why he hasn't gotten more hype for mid to late first round? I have the feeling he will go up draft boards after the combine.

Not 100% sure if he is perfect fit for us, except maybe as a combo guard/instant offense guy off bench. I don't think he really slots in as a PG.

I'm not sure why Donte is not rated higher. He is a distributor and he is a good shooter. There is a lot to like.

I'd be really happy if the Suns drafted him but my player want list is getting pretty long. ;)

The best players not on that list other than Ayton, Doncic, and Williams (whom I believe are all not at the combine): Miles Bridges, Mikal Bridges, and Kevin Knox.
Looks like everyone is on that list. There are a lot of players than cannot be considered #1 but won't be at #16 either. So the Suns obviously have designs of moving up if possible.

The Suns are going to have to move up from #16 for a PG unless they like a player like Donte DiVincenzo.

If the Suns decide to keep Payton there should be some good players around #16 who fit BPA.

The Suns also have #31 and first round picks to sweeten any movement.

NBADraft.net updated their site with a new mock, they've changed the write ups for some players and the NBA comparisons. They have Kukoc listed for Doncic, Bledsoe for Sexton, Joe Johnson for Michael Porter. Those have all changed recently because I know that is who they listed before. It's only a rough idea of who they play like but it does give an idea of what to look for.

They should package #16, 31 and 59 and move up as far as they can just because they don't need three more players. They should look at rebuilding teams that need lots of young assets. Atlanta, Brooklyn (no pick but players), maybe even Cleveland.

I agree, unfortunately that is how they list it on their main page. You need to click articles and then select the latest mock. The title will be "2018 Extended Mock Draft ?.?" in this case it's 4.0. The author is Aran Smith. It's worth clicking around to get that view though, I wish it were a little simpler but knowing they have it helps. It's also linked on their homepage but once they add another article it will move on there so it's best to know how to get there other ways.

What are you watching? NBATV has a replay of the Cavs vs Celtics for me. I have Dish Network and I know I usually get east coast feeds for most cable channels but I didn't think that was the case with sports channels. It says the combine coverage starts at 5pm, Arizona time.

I'm watching the combine on ESPN, Channel 209 on DirecTV. It started at Noon today Arizona time.

I liked that the information was right there without clicking.

Tankathon is one of the more concise mock sites I like as it provides stats and height-weight.
