How many Fullbacks and TE's do we have on the roster? Berry and Okeafor are on the downside of thier careers and we need to draft their replacements this year...Sidbury is raw, but his talent and natural ability could've justified the 95th pick. He could get a year behind him (maybe two at the most) and when the above players are most assuredly gone in the next one to two seasons we have a young and more than adequate replacement all ready to go... He will be an impact player in this league IMO...

Exactly. It could have justified it. Still an uncertainty.

I am too lazy to go through the old posts but is it painfully evident to anybody else that New England (Bill B) understand that draft process better than the rest of the NFL? I had suspected it before this draft, but what they have done has just slapped me in the face.

They traded one of their 3rd rounder this year for a 2nd rounder next year. They're good at moving picks and getting value and adding them for next years daft.

So you would rather reach for a pass rusher then take the BPA? Hows has the worked out in the past.
I saw him as a late 3rd round pick in this draft (of which many much smarter than me had him listed as a 2nd rd. pick) and view him as one of the SOTDs. I think he is being downgraded because of his level of competetion.

Hightower played on the same team and scored 10 tds last year and unseated a potential hall of famer. DRC came from the same type of football background. I just hate passing on what I view as not only a need on this team (much more than safety help, though we need it)b ut passing on what I view as superior talent sitting right there for us.

I like what I've seen from Sidbury, but I have read a couple people questioning his ability to switch to a 3-4 OLB.

I'm still baffled that Washington went before DJ Moore. Washington has top athleticism, but meh. I guess it's worth the risk.

Mike Goodson to Carolina. I guess they still don't feel comfortable about their running game.

who cares what pfw says...I base it on what I saw of him on tape... My problem is it does not matter how deep and talented our secondary is, without a real pass rush it leaves them on an island leading to inevitible breakdowns... Can't have a great secondary without pressure on the QB....

Well I can honestly say I NEVER watched a Richmond Spiders football game...if you did more power to you. If all you saw was a highlight package, thats not exactly great scouting material.

Sidbury is STILL available...I'm guessing NFL scouts know a little bit of what they are doing.

The Cards are going BPA and on their board Rashad Johnson was BPA obviously and not Sidbury.

Mayock basically said Ingram's ACL must still be shaky.

Well we got our answer as we passed on Sidbury by Mayock. "He's a good pass rusher who can't stop the run."

Can't stop the run + no coverage skills = horrid pick for the 3-4

Well that is it. A 3-4 OSLB that can't stop the run is worthless. But I think he will bulk up when he hits the NFL and his technique could be coached up.
