Green Bay is getting killed but I liked what they did. Time will tell.

I get the pick, looking to the future and getting a rare athlete. Who did they think was going to take Love before their pick that forced them to trade up?

Austin Jackson really went top 20.
Consistency and weight are the issues with Jackson. I agree with you that when you watch on tape, Jackson is a work in progress. Potential home run, but a ton of work to be done.

Meh your uofa bias is too much for this pick. Aiyuk has “it.” He’ll be better than nkeal Harry. I hate that we’ll be facing him twice a year.

What does my alleged UofA bias have to do with Aiyuk’s limited route tree and suboptimal NFL speed for a WR whose calling card is to stretch the field? I’m sure he’ll be a decent NFL player, but not first round quality and certainly not worth three draft picks.

Looking over pre-draft interview notes, and this sentence about where Utah St. QB Jordan Love would go jumped out: "I know that LaFleur would almost mandate his pick if it got to a certain point."

He rarely & I mean rarely beats press.
And yet he still impacted almost every game. He’s not going to a third down move the chains guy. He’s going to be a big play guy. Alongside deebo it’s a great pairing for niners unfortunately.

During the pre-draft scouting process, Chiefs’ HC Andy Reid told his GM Brett Veach that he thought LSU RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire was better than former Eagles’ RB Brian Westbrook, whom Reid coached from 2002-09.

More post-Rd 1 notes:
— The #Raiders took positions (WR, CB) everyone pegged them for, but no one guessed the players.
#Broncos stopped talking trade-up early this week, believe Jerry Jeudy would be there. Win.
#Cowboys debated Chaisson vs. Lamb, went w best player available.

The #Panthers have been open to deals this offseason, and here is a name to watch: WR Curtis Samuel. Teams have been consistently calling about the former 2nd round pick, and we’ll see if they get an offer they can’t refuse over the next two days.

I think Queen went to a perfect team for him. He'll do very well in Baltimore.

I'm so glad Sea didn't take him.
