They're lined up tonight, but there's not much moisture in them. Just a lot of angry winds and dust.

RadarScope. It's expensive -- $10 -- but it's very cool. Even cooler for the iPad. You can watch radar from any broadcasting NWS station in the U.S. There are features only a meteorologist would know how to use, like multiple options for reflectivity. I just use the default settings and feel like I have my own weather station. I know Mike Olbinkski uses it, too.

You should see the kind of nastiest lined up from here to Tucson. Looks like it's going to end up being more of a west side thing tonight, though, if it doesn't end up missing us entirely.

We're getting a lot of dust because our storms keep coming from the south. We're not getting that backflow off the rim like we traditionally do. Seems like we haven't had regular storms off the rim in several years.

Very dark here. A great deal of wind and dust in the air. Nearly continuous thunder with lightning strikes and rain.

But things seem to be worse inside the Channel 12 studio because the weatherman is wearing a windbreaker.

:biglaugh:

Seriously, what's up with that?

Note to Matt; Slap that boy upside the head, it looks stupid.

Wind and dust in the Vortex, we'll see what happens.

Been in two huge storms today. One in Payson and one near Happy Jack. Nice downpours.

Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S2. :jedi:

We had a big storm yesterday, getting over an inch of rain in less than a hour. Today we are getting hit with another big storm. My Directv is out. :(

It poured in Flagstaff yesterday afternoon. Was pretty cool.

Looks threatening here in South scottsdale, but nothing by wind and clouds so far.
