7:32am and yep, it's raining... It's been raining since Thursday night. Gonna check with my neighbor who has a gauge, but I gotta believe we're close to, if not above 4 inches since the start of this storm!

We got quite a bit of rain here in Bullhead City with this storm. Still no snow on the local mountains.

Went to Las Vegas yesterday and it rained hard all day. Mt. Charleston near there got some good snow.

It is going to be pretty cold down here. Highs in the 50's. Lows in the 30's. Chance for rain on Saturday. Might be a pretty miserable time for people in the stands at SDS.

True but I will take it over being stuck in stands here in Vegas in the low 40's and low/mid 20's at night that same day lol.

Going to be 90 here the day after Valentine's Day. :D

Way too hot alread. It should be a tad under 60 here and is about time to start getting my garden ready. Can't wait for my blueberries and raspberries to get a full season too since I planted them too late last year. ;)

Sounds like flagstaff is finally white, seeing if I can head up and do some sledding with the kids this weekend.

I'd describe the rain and hail as torrential. No other word for it. It was coming down so hard the houses across the street weren't visible. There's a few spots the hail chipped the paint right off the house. I was expecting the windows on the west side of the house to blow in. I think the solar screens saved them.

Thankfully, I'd just spent time creating a new drainage path for the water so the yard drained real well. At sundown there were still 5" drifts of hail on the ground. It was one heck of a storm.

Channel 15 is reporting there's a major dust storm, with heavy winds, coming up from the south and moving into the valley. Heads up everyone.

Yet thar she blows!

I have a suspicion, the way the weather's been so far, that this may be a brutal summer. I had pepper plants alive and a few green leaves right through the winter -- they stalled a bit and stopped blooming until recently, when they have resumed activity, but only the tops were nailed by the one real freeze we had. My usually prolific artichokes are barely producing - most varieties require a period of cold to set up for proper bearing.

The north is extremely dry with only two real snowfalls all winter and our south is so dry that tiny rain storms microburst caused a dust storm. We are in for a hell of a summer indeed.
