I was just watching the weather during this evening's news and the weather guy said we could be in for a wet Friday and Saturday due to the moisture from the tropical storm down south.

It's not Arizona related but weather related none the less.
I'm in Chicago right now, staying at the Marriott downtown on the Miracle Mile.
My room is on the 29th floor and there is a nasty thunderstorm rolling through.
I have a huge window over looking the city and a great view of the storm.
This is cool.

that sucks..

Yeah well, it wouldn't have been a good picture anyways just silouettes of buildings.

I have tomorrow off so it's really going to suck if it continues to rain through the day.

Can someone :cough:ChandlerMike:cough: tell me what the high was on June 30th?

Sounds odd, but I really need to know & I'm not finding it online anywhere. Probably because my searching skills suck.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

My father in law thinks it really is not that hot in Arizona. He told me that the average high temp in AZ in the summer is 103. He said it only gets above 110 about 4 times a summer. I told him he was off. Seems like the average high was about 116 (from about mid June to mid August) a couple years ago.

Who is right?

He is, the high is only over 110 maybe 10-15 days a year. Once the Monsoon rolls it we cool off. it was only 98 yesterday

But we did have like 20+ days over 110 this year, more than normal...

Your father in law can kiss our butts....it gets fraking hot here, even if the average is 103. Come live here and find out :)

Thank you very much! I have a question, though. If I pull up June 30th, it says this:

Since it says "yesterday" would it seem reasonable that I would need to look at July 1st's data to get June 30th's high?

Maybe

Your father is correct to a degree. The average high in June and August is 102, and the average high in July is 104, but the four weeks between June and July is traditionally the hottest.

We average about 10 days of 110+ highs each year. The most consecutive days of 110 was 18, and the most number of days of 110 is in the 20s. Those aren't very recent records, though.

In Law!!!

LOL! My uncle sat me down when I was 8 and explained to me how this works: "In Laws are the relatives by marriage you like. Out Laws are the relatives by marriage you don't like."

This was about 45 minutes before we headed to a huge family reunion. I went around telling people whether I thought they were an in law or an out law, regardless of blood relation (or lack thereof).

Never had a beatin' like the one I received from my father that night.
