Clearly, here in the valley this monsoon has been a hit or miss season... However, it seems that up in the mountains and high country, they've been getting lit up fairly regularly each day. Anyone know how this has impacted the lakes? Has it made any impact on the drought?

whats a hook echo?

It's the tail of a cell that indicates rotation (i.e. tornadoes). We don't see them much in Arizona because there's not enough aloft sheer to spin these cells ... and our cells aren't very big, anyway. Usually see that kind of activity in super cells over the midwest.

Going to be a big one if it continues this way

Wow some new stuff from the east...

and ugh, the bad rain seems to have died out a bit...it just seems pretty dead at my house and looks like it built back up south of me...

This will suck if I get crap out of this monster storm.

I got caught tubing on the river when that monster storm rolled in. Driving home was tough ... visibility was extremely low. McKellips is flooded at the 101. A bunch of idiots were broken down in the water.

It has been raining here for over an hour. My back porch is getting flooded.

It's offically over at my house.
My dog has come out from hiding beneath the table and actually went outside with me.
That does not happen when stroms are in the area.
