The Vortex!
I want to say yes, but i was wrong earlier :)

:biglaugh:

Yeah, you were.
Unfortunately it takes so much energy to break through to where I am.
The storms usually quit first.

Although I just walked outside and I have a good minor haboob going on.

More to come.

The radar says it's almost right on top of me, yet I've got nothing, :bang:

OK ,I'm getting hit hard!
This is good stuff!
EVerything is right on top of me and I mean everything,

My dog woke me up from a deep Jameson's slumber.

This is my best monsoon of the year,

Power is going in and out.

I'll post more later.

Outstanding stuff!
I'm talking two to three inches of rain in my neighboorhood.

I am so psyched.

Unfortunately it has moved on.

I live down the street from you. That was some storm!

Today was supposed to be the day I started coming to work an hour earlier, but I decided to wait a day since I was up between 2:30 and 3:30. :)

Do you have a rain gauge? Because that's A LOT of rain :)

Also, you're welcome, I sent the storms your way.

There is a chance of thunderstorms this week, but knowing when and where is practically impossible.

No rain gague, two or three inches may have been a little exagerated, but I'm thinking an inch plus.
My yard looked like I had just taken irrigation. It was a very healthy storm.

Looks like stuff building up out of nowhere in the NE valley...I can also see a big thunderhead building up over maybe north Mesa or Scottsdale from here.

Okay, I was a bit of on that...now that it is appearing on the radar, it's like barely east of Arizona Ave and south of the US 60.

I just have to say...nature is amazing sometimes.

Out of nowhere this huge cell just builds up. I can look north and see clear skies around it, but just this one monstrous cloud builds straight up. And then the lightning starts inside the cloud, lighting the whole thing up. And I can even hear the slight rumbles from it after awhile.

There is just something spooky about a cloud silently developing and being seen from a distance...and at night.

A little while ago I went outside and there was lightning off in the distance, near the 60 and AZ Ave. A few minutes later there is a huge cloud covering the sky and it rained pretty steady for about 10 minutes. Now - nothing.

You've got to love Az weather. :D
