The rain evaporated in about 2 minutes, but it dropped the temp by about 5 degrees

MESA! :thud:
Alma School and Guadalupe area. I thought it was just over 100 here...
I'm shocked that for almost an entire year neither dcr nor I have run into you anywhere. We live there, too (south & east). My daughter goes to Dobson. I'm in that Safeway often, even though it sucks. :)

I guess this is kind of weather related, but does anyone else see a clear balloon hovering over north-east Mesa?

It doesn't appear to be moving...it's just sitting there.

Yes! My kids and I saw it... It drifted away very slowly. It was almost right over our house at one point.

I called MUFON to report it, but I guess they were too busy passing the dutchie to the left-hand side to answer their phone.

I wonder what it was.

I live about 2 miles from Falcon Field and it was drifting in that direction, it was strange. It was almost in the flight path for the private pilots, they should have spotted it for sure

I saw something that was very strange while driving north on the 51 at about 7:00pm tonite. It was lit up pretty brightly from the setting sun. Didn't move at all and looked to be in the shape of a balloon. It was significantly higher in altitude than any nearby thunderheads and passing planes... very, very strange!

I just got back from a dog stroll. Lots of lightning and now it is raining pretty good.
Damn, it feels like August out there.

Maybe that means June will feel like September, and July will feel like October, and........ well, maybe not huh?

That would be awesome. Then maybe once September rolls around it just decides to go back to normal....no summer in 2009!

Did seem like a weak monsoon thunderstorm night though, was kinda interesting.

We're getting huge winds and lots of thunder and lightening... but of course, no rain... :bang:
