We're at ENSO neutral, which should give us a nice flow off the Gulf, but honestly the moisture is modest compared to where it probably should be. The only good news is it actually arrived on time (first weekend in July). If we don't get some .70/.80 dewpoints, though, we're not going to get the urban rain we need to replinish the water table in the cities.

Took this pic early this morning coming back from the gym as the sun was starting to rise over the McDowell Mountains... yes, there are mountains there, just too much dust getting in the way!

I didn't see the wall of dust but we got rain at 9pm. Looked out the front windows and couldn't see the houses across the street. The stange thing was it was absolutely still. No wind. Just dust hanging in the air.

The rain and the dirt made everything muddy. The street looks like it was downwind from a volcano.

Nice photos, everybody! Mike O got some great shots too.

Hey Mike, is that your timelapse video that's on all of the weather sites? Cool work if that's you!

A lot of action coming in from the southeast.
Keeping my fingers crossed.

The Vortex!
It broke up.
As much as the monsoon teases me, I should be feeding it dollar bills. :)

You and everyone else in the Valley, lol.
I made the mistake of parking under a tree. Managed to clean all the leaves and crap off, but didn't want to give the car a proper bath because I've got a good feeling about this weekend's weather. Here's hoping anyway... :D

Same here. Just rinsed off the vehicles, no car washes.

My patio still looks yucky, but I don't think I can do any more cleaning out there.

Haven't been over here on ASFN for a while but came across Mike's time lapse on an 'extreme' weather site today and I said, "Hey, that's Chandler Mike. I know him!!" Well, actually I don't know him, but consider him an old school Suns fan 'brother'. Cool! Great video too.
