i think you guys are forgetting that Reddick played here for 4 years and his option was not picked up. They also mis-used him and cost him potential for more success as a pass rusher.

Az did him no favors, why would he come back here unless it was the only team interested.

The team can't announce anything officially, but agents and others in the know are free to leak without attribution.

The Cards can negotiate terms of a deal but they can't officially sign a player like Sweat until the FA period officially opens. If the do agree on a deal then the agent or team will "leak" out the deal almost immediately to a reporter.

One is a legitimate starter, the other a role player. It's not like they signed Browning to a long term deal - we have him for 2 years. To pay an extra couple million for a legit starter seems worth it to me!

theoretically, legal tampering opened this morning at 9 AZ time

yet, Hasaan Reddick (to name one) negotiated a new deal with the Bucs in 5 minutes after legal tampering opened up

which is to say, there has been illegal tampering going on for quite some time ( and everyone does it)

Seriously, not only did he get used poorly and almost have his career end here, but the fans trashed him too. I wouldn't want to come back to AZ if I were him.
