Well, best buy last week had the A3 for sale for $199. 300 and Bourne Identity were in the box, plus you got to choose 3 more for $34.99 or less, as well as the 5 free movies.

Walmart is having another black friday special this Friday.

They have some comparable sales at amazon right now.

One more question. Just becasue you purchase a HD DVD, does that mean you automatically get a better picture than it's regular DVD counterpart? I remember reading somewhere that some transfers of older films didn't produce much better pictures on HD DVD or Bluray than can be found on the Original DVD. Is this true?

Pretty much. There are some transfers that aren't the greatest, but all of them are better than their DVD counterparts. Even some movies that you wouldn't think would benefit much from HD, like Casablanca and Adventures of Robin Hood.

I never think to post disc deals here, but I don't see why not. These have been on sale for quite a while, in fact, they had about twice as many titles as this about 3 weeks ago. I got the first two Pirates movies, Apocalypto, and a few others.
