It's time for the show to get on the road and I'm excited to see what guys will stand out or falter. Below is the schedule for the Combine.

Thursday, February 19:

Group 1(PK, ST, OL), Group 2 (OL), Group 3 (TE) – Measurements

Friday, February 20:
Group 4(QB, WR), Group 5 (QB, WR), Group 6 (RB) – Measurements

Saturday, February 21:
Group 7 (DL), Group 8 (DL), Group 9 (LB) – Measurements
Group 1, Group 2, Group 3 – Workout (timing, stations, skill drills)

Sunday, February 22:
Group 10 (DB), Group 11 (DB) – Measurements
Group 4, Group 5, Group 6 – Workout (timing, stations, skill drills)

Monday, February 23:
Group 7, Group 8, Group 9 – Workout (timing, stations, skill drills)

Tuesday, February 24:
Group 10, Group 11 – Workout (timing, stations, skill drills)

....

Who do you think will stand out this year? I'm betting my money on Brian Cushing, Jared Cook and Vontae Davis.

I think Ron Brace is going to break the bench record. He is strong but mostly because he has really, really short arms to make it that much easier.

CB - Dominique Johnson runs the fastest 40 and because of similar attributes becomes the fastest riser at the combine.

DT - Chris Baker is going to turn some heads with his athletic ability especially in the agility drills and his 10 yard split in the 40.

I am going to have to wait until Monday for the day I will be looking at the most.

Strangely, reports have Oher sizing in at 6'4" when at the senior bowl he was measured at 6'6".. how does that happen?

I knew that was going to happen. He didn't look 6-3 at all. Chances are Harvin measures in around 5'9, too.

Knowshon Moreno apparently came in at a solid 5-10, 217. :)

Moreno has "it". I know some very dedicated Georgia fans who swear by Moreno's talent and especially his will to be the best. If he runs better than a 4.5 there is no way he lasts until the 31st pick. The only chance we have a getting him is with a first rounder we get in a Boldin trade.

Moreno is a great player and a guy who can be good even when he is not 100% healthy because he relies so much on instinct, great vision, and guts more than just pure speed.

San Diego just franchised Sproles. They won't draft Moreno unless they get rid of Tomlinson. What they do (or don't do) about his contract before the draft will tell the tale.
Sproles is a quick fix. Smart teams dont go into drafts with glaring holes, they fill them via FA. A smart team would nopt have let Big walk and donte nothing in FA thus forcing themselves to pass on AD in the draft.

Moreno is just like a young Tomlinson. Would you like to make a friendly A$FN wager on this one? :)

I'm not saying you're wrong. I just figure we don't have enough information yet. If Tomlinson declines a pay cut, or they don't even ask him, it will be indicative, IMO, that they plan to go RB in the draft. If he re-structures, I don't think they do. At least not early, anyway.

I'd rather have Wells.

also, I need to apologize for overlooking this sight; i started a new thread asking about a certain fellow before I saw this sight well that the meaning and scope of the sight hit me.

Things that stuck out for me yesterday....

- Crabtree listed at 6-1. Not surprising to me, but disappointed quite a few people. He has really long arms, though, so its not be as bad as some think.

- Harvin actually being 5-11. I could have sworn he'd be shorter.

- OT William Beaty putting on some pounds. 6-6, 310. He's going to be making some money.

- Shonne Greene dropped some weight, and is down to 227.

- Baylor's Jason Smith is slowly pulling himself away from the pack. I still think the top 3 tackles are a toss-up of being the first selected.

- Michael Oher having T-Rex arms while being one of the tallest tackles. Concerning, but Sam Baker had short arms and he played fine last year.

- My man Knowshon putting on muscle. 217. :)

- Herman Johnson dropping almost 20 lbs - now he's only 364 lbs.

- Andre Smith = not making good impression. He's been a terrible interview and has only now begun to work out? SMH.

- Travis Beckum, who I've been hard on, showed up 15 lb. heavier and tied for the lead in bench press.

- Lesean McCoy and Shonn Greene have tiny hands. LOL.

- Kenny Britt, originally billed 6-4, "only" came in at 6-2 7/8 - the same height Fitzgerald was measured at his combine.

Lane is not at the NFL Combine and deservedly so. Fat, slow, and soft. Measured in at 295 at the East-West Shrine Game and for being touted a plow he was a total non-factor at the goal line. If he drops weight, he might make it in the league through UDFA, but I ain't wasting a draft pick on someone like that.

Crabtree has a stress fracture in his foot and needs surgery. He's going to be out for a while.

Think he's going to drop?

OT William Beatty ran 5.03 and South Carolina's Jason Meredith ran a 4.98....

Duke Robinson is faster than Oher. Wow.

WOW! That is HUGE news! Depending on how long he'll be out, he can really plummet. If he can't work out before the draft, he'll fall like a stone. Wow!
