Slovenian captain has guaranteed a win against us on Friday. The guy must be smoking some good stuff there. He says they're confident after the win against Algeria. Of course, they scored 1 goal in the 79th minute against a far inferior side.

Good one there buddy. Did he not learn ANYTHING from Jozy Altidore??

Slovenias got a good team. I wouldnt look at them as pushovers just because they barely beat algeria.

Go Honduras! Represent the CONCACAF well.

With that being said, Chile 2-0, too many injuries for Honduras.

Slovenia is solid defensively and at goalkeeper, offensively they don't have much. If they bunker down it will be hard for the US to score.

I'd like Honduras to win as well, there is probably too much of a talent gap for that to happen.

Interesting Fact: Chile's last win in a World Cup match happened back in 1962 exactly 48 years today.

Its crazy to think that even with world class talent like Ivan Zamorano and Marcelo Salas, Chile wasn't able to accumulate a win in that timespan.

Chile is in control of this game, if they can get shots to actually go on target it could be a long day for Honduras.

They have a lot of speed. Speed that i expected from teams like Netherlands, Ivory Coast. I saw this in the friendly they had vs Mexico, they could give Spain a nice challenge if they capitalize on their scoring opportunities.

Alexis Sanchez, pretty impressive youngster for Chile. At only 21, he's already got 28 caps and 11 goals for his country and currently plays for Udinese in Italy.

Spain vs Swizzerland is up next. Spain wins 3-0 IMO

not a great day of games. Nothing excites me....

Uruguay-South Africa for the first non-opening game? If a top 3 pair of strikers doesn't excite you, IDK what does. You being a Serbia fan, one wouldn't think it'd take too much offense to excite you. lol

lol zing.

Not a Serbian fan, my wife is but I appreciate good defense. Its just I have no concern or care for any of the countries playing today. Id like to see Spain lose but thats about 500-1.

Hopefully the Spain - Chile game means something... I think it would be a good show.

The draw with Slovenia scares me a bit also....

Yay Swiss!

Ive only seen Spain twice in the lst 3 years and I dont know why they are so special. Still think Argentina or Brazil is much better.

BTW those two games were us 2 Spain 0 and Swiss 1 Spain 0 lol

What a shocker. Seems like Spain finally started attacking after they got score on.

Spain.... WOW.

I think that they were hedging their bets not starting Torres. Only one pure striker up front really made the first half harder for them.

As long as Spain Beats Honduras & Chile beats the Swiss.... The Chile v. Spain match could be a freaking show!

Spain/Switzerland was the first match that made me angry afterwards. Great passing by Spain, but it does no good if you don't try to get any chances. They tried time and again to bring it down the wings and kick crosses--never worked. Spain's best scoring chance came off a damn corner kick. Very upsetting.

I think they need to start Villa and Torres up front, and I'd like to see Fabregas out there.

Casillas has been living off his reputation this year. Valdes is better and should be starting, even though the coach would never do it.
