I hope Tevez dies in a fire. That was an amazing goal.

Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuudge
I think he already burned his neck once. maradona takes him out. could have been another argentine hat trick. maybe diego doesn't want someone else to make a headline. goal for hernandez.

This game should be 1-0. Osorio has no business starting, bullshiit offsides nocall on tevez.. We didn't capitalize off our opportunities. Its been the story of the qualifiers, wc warm ups and now the world cup. Were losing against the most talented team in the cup, and there is nothing to be ashamed of. I look forward to seeing Chicharito Hernandez (one HELL of a striker) putting up his talent vs the EPL. I'm proud that my team has kept fighting and hasn't run out of gas despite being down. Something you USA fans can't claim. VIVA MEXICO!!!

soccer just isn't that important here. I thought klinsman said it best in the postgame. until USA is able to tap into the inner city kids..or lower middle class..for soccer they will not have the great players that the other countries have. he used basketball as a comparison. he made a great point. I think the USA should be commended in soccer(just as they are in hockey) in the fact that they can trade blows with some of the best teams in the world despite having much less talent. we aren't german gods, english creators, dutch skill, brazil flare, or argentine drama. but USA play with heart and pride.

we need to do a better job of developing the game and spreading it into the streets where kids can't afford or would ever think of playing in a kid league.

Another good point. We have developed high level leagues (AAU for instance) for inner city kids in basketball and have no problem getting them to our Universities or the NBA to play.

No way was that stoppable, the shot was a laser and he couldn't have placed that better.

You are right, the American system is quiet amateur compared to Europe. Over here if you are discovered early as a talent you usually go to a pro club very early and often live in their private schools.

The clubs run a real school and make sure the kids get school education and in the afternoon its soccer training and that begins at age of 6 and as soon as you are good enough you practice with the pros or get thrown into the water in a competitive pro game.

The whole college and draft system can't compete.

Well it looks like we're trying. Didn't know this existed.

He had the angle in his favor already. if not stopped all together it could have been attempted. Maybe I should see the replay. I could be wrong...don't have a problem admitting that if I am.

Although I agree that no one would have stopped that shot..... The keeper for Argentina will probably be the reason they don't lift the trophy.

He seems to make very late decisions. It will cost them. I am confident of that.

Now you are just talking ****...down 0-1 we come back to tie 1-1, down 0-2 we come back to tie 2-2, tied 0-0 needing a goal to win we got it, down 0-1 we come back to tie only to lose in extra time. We fought back EVERY game and fell short in one. We'll still finish this WC with less losses than Mexico.

I think they have even lost the will to foul and embaress themselves further. Shocking from Mexico!

What is a foul in soccer? You can grab and pull a guy's arm who has the ball and is on a breakaway but you can't bump somebody going for the ball?

Must be similar to basketball where a foul is whatever the referees decide it is at that time.

that is beyond ridiculous and a homer post...wait you can't claim that because you are american. but you get the point.

one thing that we can claim is that we knocked you out of the round of 16! on neutral ground. and when your team was down they made excuses, elbowed our players in the head, tried to intimidate us. but lil donovan put you out just like all of the other teams do in the round of 16. mexico just isn't capable of winning a world cup.

and Mexico beat a previous world cup champ in france, while your only win came in a miracle against poopy algeria. Don't hang your hat too high now. Mexico wouldve had a better chance at winning vs Ghana. US would get blown out by half a dozen by argentina.

france is terrible. algeria is better than them.

why don't you stop playing this if this then that game and just look at head to head. wait you can't do that. You would rather look at a fiction gold cup game than admit that your best side lost to our best side in the biggest game in their history. are you american? I don't know many mexicans that are cardinals fans...maybe cowboys. not cardinals.

Yeah you beat France, who had a bad coach who had players quit on him. Good for you.

The fact is you can't win a knockout game outside of Mexico.

I don't see any US fan getting too high, if anything you get disappointment. The problem is the US put themselves in an area where they had to fight back, they were never mentally prepared to start any match and that is a problem but to be so ignorant as to say Mexico fights to the end and the US doesn't is pretty stupid.

Shzm is upset right now for his boys.... Atleast he isn't Slin coming in right after the US lost just to be an a$$hole.

Sorry about the performance today bro.... Most people don't like your team but I think they have a brighter future than the Yanks do in the next 4 years.

Hopefully we crush you every time though.

I agree...the USA proved that they don't have the quality as a team to sustain a successful world cup. a couple of injuries really did them in....whereas most great teams can get past that. And even if we were completely healthy I still wouldn't have been surprised to see us lose to ghana. we have a lot of work still ahead of us before we are doing what a team like germany, brazil, argentina, etc are doing every 4 years.

However, what we don't do is give up. maybe we were gased, but we fought til the end just as mexico are doing. but they are getting their butts kicked.

german gods! they are like my fellow cowboys fans! I could tell a cards fan everyday how much i love my boys compared to theirs...i just wouldn't be able to stay here lol. I hope the germans lose, but I'm not exactly rooting for maradona. should be a interesting game to watch....much more than it would have been had mexico shocked the world today.

actually i have found most germans to be ok..very likable. dirk is my favorite dallas athlete and couldn't be a better person off the court. michael ballack 8 years ago after the USA loss to germany was very humble and admitted that the USA should have advanced based on the performance. i gained a lot of respect for their side after that game. I like klinsmann too. I hope we get him as our coach. that guy is smart.
