I'm not so sure the Hawks are getting their money's worth. The deal is looking more and more lopsided everyday. JJ's success with the Suns seems to indicate that he may have been a product of nash, Amare and a great system - especially since other players are being plugged right in. Wouldn't that be something if he really didn't improve. Maybe the Suns brass KNEW JJ wasn't worth the 70 million dollar contract - and still found a way to work the Hawks over and save face in the media. Why do we continue to question the GM of the year? Amazing.

Hey Joe, YOU were wrong, and WE were right! Serves you right!

:p

:biglaugh:

What's the point in being a sports fan if you can't be childish? It sure beat the ulcer that some of the rest of you were working on.

As much as I hate to admit it, JJ IS a very good player--much better than he's looking at the moment. I think it probably says more about how BAD the Hawks are in player personnel and coaching. 1 or 2 on 5 is always tough.

Ok , we knew the Hawks were going to be terrible this year. They must be the most inexperienced team in the league, and its all swingmen and Zaza. Childress is having an awful year, Josh Smith is splitting time with Marvin, no real point guard etc = horrible team. Joe has played fairly well, and I note that most of the people bashing JJ now were crying when he left. I don't particularly have a desire to see the guy fail, from how the story sounds, PHX didn't treat his as they should have, and he wanted the most money and chance to max his potential - how can you fault him for that?

I really don't hold anything against him as a person. I think he made a stupid decision which was probably driven a lot by his agent.

But hey, it just might work out well for the Suns afterall.

So I don't want Joe to fail (I actually still like him), but I absolutely love to see the Hawks continually suck. We have an interest in the failure of that team!

Diaw per minute scoring would put him closer to 13.3 ppg if he played JJ's minutes.

It's really interesting to compare JJ to Leandro.
