I know some people say get over posting about joe, and how much his team sucks, but I say keep doing it. :) The way he left, I greatly enjoy seeing this.

Oh yeah, they will be at least 0-8, next 2 games at san antonio, at dallas.

DIAW
5.8 rpg
6.0 apg
1.17 bpg
.488 fg%
.733 ft%
.500 3p%
25.5 mpg

JOHNSON
4.8 rpg
6.0 apg
.83 bpg
.427 fg%
.667 ft%
.259 3p%
39.2 mpg

good thing we overpaid to get diaw... oh wait...

just a little look at things by the numbers...

(to be fair johnson scores 19.5 ppg while diaw scores about half that at 8.7 ppg... but if diaw had johnsons minutes... WITH JOHNSONS MINUTES IMAGINE HOW MUCH MORE DOMINATING THESE NUMBERS WOULD BE!... diaw doesn't start but i still see him playing big minutes against the other teams first unit so that isn't even an excuse that can be used... there is no excuse... he plays more positions, and he creates better mismatches with better results... plus draft picks and financial flexibility... who knew???... suns management thats who!)

I can't stand the JJ bashing. Everyone says it made our team better but then they bash Joe. Doesn't make sense to me.

The Joe threads need to stop, I can't stand the guy anymore but I don't want to see topics about him non stop. It's just pointless.

just sticky a "Joe Sucks" thread to the top and leave it at that. we dont need a new thread for every game the hawks lose or could lose.

as much as i hate the guy and am extatic that his team sucks, we just dont need more threads about him than about the suns.

eh, i kinda like it. it's all about spoiled athletes getting their come-uppance as far as i'm concerned. i'd love to see one about sarver having to learn a lesson too as i think there was equal blame in all this.

and i love diaw. if that kid ever learns to shoot he'll be a pippen clone. i had hopes that he would surprise, but this is even earlier than i had hoped for.

I love them!

Oh no, one simple thread every other day or so. It's as simple as not clicking the link if you don't want to read it.

i for one love these threads. i like to keep up with former players, and JJ is basically number one on the list. however, i'm also interested in the comings and goings of jake voskuhl, maciej lampe, and Q-dawg. Also, if anyone has any new info on how rehab is going for Amare, that would be cool too. thx

I say keep them coming. I feel satisfaction in knowing that the old JJ is living in the gutter in Atlanta. I will be attending the Oklahoma City Hornets game vs. the Hawks and cant wait to see another loss for JJ. I would make a poster, but I dont think he will see it from the upper deck.

Yep, I agree. There is nothing wrong with having a little fun at the expense of Joe's decision.

If you don't want to participate don't read the threads, don't just whine about it.

I did participate in the thread, by telling my opinion on the matter.

I spend most my time posting in the P&R area, but I spend time here reading up on the Suns.

I'm thrilled w/ Barbosa and Diaw! :) What a great surprise they both are so far!

The board can bash JJ all you want but Sarver is still going to have-to to step it up, maybe JC made some smart moves but if the Suns lose Barbosa or Diaw because a special somebody wants to be cheap, how many players can you blast?

The Team will be at near $55 Million for the next 3 years...

Yeah, but if we signed JJ for the money, max deal, that his agent wanted from the Suns, then the Matrix or Nash, would have to go. Everyone thinks it would be Marion, but put in a pinch it may have ended up with Nash leaving. Even JJ acknowledged going for the money he wanted was going to bust up the Suns. You can bash Sarver all you want for not signing JJ to the $50 million early on, but after that, is JJ worth more than Marion, Nash, or Amare? Nope. I would have been pissed if Sarver signed him to large jack and busted up the Suns more than JJ's leaving did. Now we have a good nucleus to build from. :D

I don't think bashing Sarver for not offering the $50 million the summer before is legit either. JJ had not done anything to prove he is worth it until AFTER he asked for that money. I barely think he is worth $50 NOW! I am 100% behind the decisions that management made concerning JJ.

I know some of you might not want to discuss this, but I note that the Hawks are now 0-7, JJ going for 12 pts, 3 assts, 3 Bds v. Spurs.

I don't think anyone minds discussing it. Rough game for Joe Johnson. Having him play PG is not a good idea in my mind. But even worse is having to play Tyronn Lue (not a playmaker) alongside him. Not many open shots for JJ. I think Atlanta has made a big mistake. They think that just by their young guys getting older they are going to get better. They often say "In three years, watch out." Well what are they learning right now? Anything? Marvin Williams is the only guy that is almost guaranteed to get better than he currently is. This team need a PG that can help build these guys' confidence up by getting them shots. But anyways, Joe's gonna have these nights every once in awhile. He's still a good player. Look at how bad Diaw played for Atlanta, it just ain't easy there when you have no help.

I always said JJ was a product of the Suns system. He was not a max player to any system other than the Suns system. I often wonder what his numbers would be like for the Suns right now if he'd have stayed, but then remember it wouldn't matter. Like someone said, if JJ were here the Suns would be setting their "Trade Marion" timers and simply waiting for them to go off. Any sign of struggle during the season and talks would happen, which isn't friendly to team chemistry. I tried to convince as many people as possible that the JJ deal was a good one (even when I had no idea Diaw would play well). Though painful to see him go, that deal gives the Suns lasting power for the next 4-5 years minimum.
