But, we have to assume Wiz & most if not all of his staff are intact for 2013. If we lose 12 straight the whole coaching staff might get the axe, which would please many.

So no Grimm or Miller firings allowed on your list

Here are my moves:

1) try to trade for Romo, giving the Cowpies next years #1 & a 2014 #2, making it a possible #1 if he performs at a certain level. Work out an extension lowering his $16 mil salary & keeping him from being a FA.

2) move Levi Brown to RT & Massie to the bench, cut Batiste. Demote Snyder & ask him for a pay cut or cut him & promote Kelemete to starting RG.

3) add a top LT in the 2013 draft in rd 2, test the FA market for the best LT available, whomever that is, if any.

4) draft a young QB with potential in 2013 & let him learn until Romo is finished. A kid like Mike Glennon in Rd 2 or 3 depending on what we've added at LT

5) play Stew Bradley at ILB alongside DWash

6) make a play for another OLB in FA, who has pass rush skills. Maybe even throw a another draft pick to the Boys for Victor Butler

7) make Steve Kiem the GM & fire Rod Graves to set an example

Fire away guys & gals

You lost me at not firing Grimm - if that isn't done, nothing improves, it really is as simple as that.

1-trade for Philip River( the way it's going out there he may be had for a Donovan mcnabb like deal which was a 2nd and 4th).
2-draft chance warmack out of Alabama
3- start Warmack and Kelemente at guards next year.
4-cut all dead weight starting with Bradley, Rashard Johnson, William Gay
5-get another starting caliber corner in free agency and move PP to free safety
6- sign Felix Jones in free agency. The offense needs and has needed to add a dimension of speed for years.
7-look for ILB help.

I don't want him as a feature back but more of change of pace guy. The Cards could also draft a guy like the kid from Ok St.

2-draft chance warmack out of Alabama check
3- start Warmack and Kelemente at guards next year. check on Warmack, maybe on Kelemente (he has to beat out College)
4-cut all dead weight starting with Bradley, Rashard Johnson, William Gay check , maybe not, check
5-get another starting caliber corner in free agency and move PP to free safety. Too soon, how about signing good FS in FA.
6- sign Felix Jones in free agency. The offense needs and has needed to add a dimension of speed for years. pass
7-look for ILB help. I'tll have to happen later in the draft or again in FA.

You left out a LT - priority #1 or 2.

We need a starting caliber young signal caller with a high ceiling. An already starting caliber LT. Move Brown back to RT or RG. Get a really good interior OG grader who also has decent feet (Warmack?). Get someone who will really push Wells or trade him for a pick and get a starting caliber RB or another pick to help get Rivers.

All you have to do to fix the Cardinals is rebuild the O-line. Kolb starting and Skelton/Lindley backing up would be fine if they were protected. Wells and Williams would be fine if they had holes to run through. Their injuries are a concern so another back in the draft would be nice. The wide-outs are fine. They just need time to get open. A solid go to TE would be nice but is not essential. The D is stacked. Although a SS to groom behind Wilson would be a nice draft pick up.

To fix the O-line I would draft and or sign the best left tackle I could get my hands on. I would leave Colledge and Sendlein where they are. I would draft and or sign the best G available to play on the right side. Finally, I would move L. Brown back to RT.

Left tackle would be THE priority of my off-season.

Love the Rivers idea.

OL needs a major overhaul. Brown to RT, best option for LT must happen. Draft 2 mean nasty road graders on the inside either guard or center. Sign another interior road grader.

Cut Snyder, Batiste.

We need to draft better

Last time we drafted an offensive lineman in the first round was 2007.

Better coaching from Grimm would help and the o-line playing better.

Good thoughts Cbus.
Rivers just seems to be less productive than Romo, though both will throw some picks. IMO he can't be had for that cheap of a price.

I like the Felix idea, but he seems to struggle when he starts.

Demote Grimm to assistant waterboy and part time Springsteen groupie. (I didn't fire him). Demote Miller to be Grimm's assistant groupie.

Get the three best LTs I can find via draft, trade, or FA. Play the best one at LT and move the other two to RT and LG.

Draft or sign a RB who has no history of being injured.

Hope the Cowpies are dumb enough to let Romo go.

Romo scares the daylights out of me. I barely surivived 6 years of him the first time around when he was calling himself Jake something or other.

Rivers again scares me but less than Romo. Romo just thinks he's better than he is so he constantly throws balls that should not be thrown.

Did you see Felix Jones on Sunday?--he fumbled the ball running into his offensive tackle...holding the ball like a loaf of bread.

What a waste.

He would fit perfectly into a Oline that can't keep 4 corpses out of the backfield on any running play.

Seriously, how many times have our RBs been blasted 3yds behind the LOS this year? Has to be more than anyone in the league. :bang:

The really sad thing is that the Cards have drafted 3 Offensive Tackles in the first round in the last 13 years. LJ Shelton in '99, Leonard Davis in 2001 and Levi Brown in 2007. First round Offensive Tackles should play for you for 10 years. Instead we got 3 guys who fans wanted to run out of town at one time or another.

Jeff Backus drafted 16 picks after Leonard Davis is still starting for Detroit. So is Dominic Raiola who the Lions also took in the 2001 draft. We got a bunch of false start penalties. :(

FA. You have to sign ONE solid offensive linemen. I don't care which one, but either Brandon Albert, Ryan Clady, Andre Smith or Andy Levitre. Any one of these guys would arguably be the best offensive lineman on our roster and upgrade the unit as a whole. I think Levitre might be the most likely here.

Acquire a QB. You have two options here and I don't care which one we use, but we do need to use one. Either trade for a QB castoff from a disenchanted franchise (Romo, Sanchez or Rivers) or take one in the first round. If you trade for one, you have to keep your 2013 first rounder because it is the key to the rest of your success. My option would be a 2013 2nd rounder, and a 2014 1st and 4th for Romo. FWI, I think Romo's athleticism plays better for the Cards than Rivers lead feet in the pocket. Rivers is a better QB, but just not for the Cards IMO.

Make the draft count. You have to add two more linemen with your first three picks (1st, 3rd and 4th). Personally, if we are drafting in the top 10, I would take an OT with that pick. I think OTs are underrated, but we have to win now and this is the fastest approach. I will say Luke Joeckel is the 2nd rated OT right now, and that is who we take. With our 3rd rounder, I would take an OC like Khaled Holmes or Travis Frederick.

This leaves us with an offense that line up

LT - Luke Joeckel (Levi Brown as principle backup)
LG - Andy Levitre (Daryn Colledge as principle backup)
OC - Lyle Sendlein vs. Khaled Holmes/Travis Frederick
RG - Daryn Colledge vs. Senio Kelemente vs. Adam Snyder
RT - Levi Brown (Bobby Massie as developmental backup)

QB-Tony Romo

This personnel can get enough out of Chris Wells, Ryan Williams, Rob Housler, Jeff King, Larry Fitzgerald, Michael Floyd, and Andre Roberts to compete with most teams in the NFL.

I would acquire Romo or Rivers because this present staff is horrible with developing a QB, then I would draft towards the OL when possible. Free agents can be had that are better as well which should show an improvement over the likes of Snyder and Batiste.

I'm not saying he's great but he adds a dimension that has long been missing from this team. Besides, you're going to judge the guy on one play?
