Suns down 101-88 with 6:01 left in the 4th quarter as Nash reenters. Bad call Gentry.

The Thunder have four players (Durant, Westbrook, Ibaka and Harden) better than the best player on the Suns team.

Nash is really showing his age as the season winds down.

Suns down 108-92 with 3:59 left in the 4th quarter. Bad 4th quarter for the Suns.

Time to rest Nash now, Gentry.

Like the lottery, Chidress can't win if he doesn't play.

honestly, sometimes you are just a real ******.

Joe

lol... it's a serious question Joe. I HONESTLY don't get why people are excited to see us get our asses kicked in the playoffs. Does anyone remember what it feels like to get completely destroyed in the playoffs... with a team going seemingly nowhere? I don't think most of us do, because that's almost never been the case with the Suns. For the better part of their history, they've either been contenders who suffer painful heartbreaking losses or young up and coming teams who give a good fight before bowing out. This team is neither and watching a team that's neither here nor there just getting made to look like fools has no entertainment value whatsoever... at least to me.

Game summary? No D on Harden. Gortat played like a puss. No agressiveness by Nash. I think that hip is hurtinghim. Duds, big heart, but can't hit the free throws down the stretch. Morriss, still quite the rook. Lopez, played with a lot of guts and didn't back down, well one. Childress, excellent D and took the ball to the rack very well.

Also, no Hill. Could've used his defense.

meanwhile, for all those who think we should continue to re-sign Nash and build around him... do any of you realize how his game deteriorates in the 2nd half of every season the last three years? Whether it's injuries or just age, you can't invest big scratch in him anymore. 2009 - Pre-All-star break he averages 18.3 ppg... after 13... while being dinged up to end the season. 2010... Pre-All-star break he averages 17 ppg down to 10 ppg while missing games at the end of the year... and again, this year, from 14 pgg to 11 ppg, while missing time or not being as effective offensively due to injuries.

it's time to move on.

There is no doubt that Nash's game is on the decline. The issue for me is not overpaying for him and getting a replacement PG on the roster. My fear is the Suns will give him the stars and the moon. Telfair is clearly at best a third PG.

we just need to move on from nash. we continue to rely on him because he really does make people around him better, but we cant keep doing that by making lateral aquisitions to fill amare's void. nash alone with a mediocur supporting cast (minus gortat) is not going to cut it next year or the following two years if we're dumb enough to pay him what he's looking for, for the next 3 years.

That's the beauty of the ignore poster feature but it doesn't help when you quote the offending poster.

Honestly, I don't understand why people get so huffy about calling a spade a spade. This is definitely reminiscent of the good ol days of the Cardinals board, where people would get pissed off at anyone who said anything critical about the team. Guess what? The Suns ARE the old Cardinals. The days of always being competitive and entertaining are in the rear view mirror, with no end in sight. Cheese, just like everyone else here wants nothing more than the Suns to get back to where they were, almost always competitive and entertaining. Putting lipstick on this pig won't make things better any faster.

As Superbone mentioned, if it hurts your feelings enough, just put people on ignore and live in your happy world where everyone agrees with you.

(And if there is any doubt, this has nothing to do with Joe, and isn't directed to him at all. He's one of my favorite posters and I'm only pissed he doesn't post more. BTW, what happened to thegrahamcracker and fordroken?)
