Opened many eyes and easily earned himself a significant role on this team going forward! Diche showed some nice flashes over the last 3rd of the season. I might be totally off base, but I think 2018 will be Diche's official coming out party.

I hope so. I hope Nkemdiche kind of goes like Jadaveon Clowney. They seem like similar personalities in that they are both talented and a little ho-hum(don't know if that's the right word) when it comes to the NFL. Clowney kind of floated around the first 2 years and then has upgraded his play substantially. I'm hoping for the same with Nkemdiche.

Extend him!!
How much could ask?

Absolutely. He made tons of plays during the back end of the season. He is one of those guys I say they be pro-active and sign him to an extension on the cheap BEFORE he blows up. I'm not sure how high his ceiling is but he passes the eyeball test during the game. He is always around the ball.

Pierre looks like a nice player

there was a Diche sighting during the game ( two weeks in a row)

sometimes it takes big men on the d line a couple years to get it, although thats as optimistic a take as i can muster

Now that I think about it, he's exactly what I was hoping for last offseason - but even better. I was hoping they would draft a DL that would look good right off the bat and force Kneediche to pick up his game. Pierre's exceeded my wishes so far because they didn't even need to burn a draft pick.

Really like Pierre. I would cut my losses with Diche. If he was a late round pick he wouldn't be on the team.

Is the Niche playing like a first rounder? Heck no, but if the light comes on with the value of his rookie contract and he is just solid... well, you do not cut him because though losing the draft value game sucks, he still works

Experiences scribes (like harry) can chime in on what'a decent contract for Pierre should be?

26 years old...5.5 sacks...

At around the same age the Vikings signed Linval Joseph at a 5yr, 31.25 mil contract averaging about 6.25 mil per year.

I would would offer him 5yrs at 5.25 mil per year for a total of 26.25 mil but I would go higher if he asked.

It’s funny, he looks more like our Calais Campbell replacement instead of Nkemdiche. I’ve been very impressed with him.

Yeah he actually has been quite good.

14 games 5.5 sacks, seems to be in the backfield with regularity.

Nkemdiche showed some flashes the last few weeks but he's not consistent at all, Pierre seems to both make the big plays, and be where he's supposed to be on the little plays.

Crazy how every year we hear about a couple long shots looking like breakouts only to disappear once the regular season comes along. Not sure to the heights he will reach, but I love that he was able to make an impact this season!

They buried him on the active roster his first year. It was talked about him never being game activated on this board.

Now we see why.
