AP Usually follows up a poor performance with 130+ yards.

2015:

Followed a 31 yard (10 attempt) effort against the Niners with 29/134 against the Lions.

Followed a 26/60 effort against the Chiefs with 19/98 against the Lions (again). He then went on to have 103, 125, & 203 yards in the next 3 games.

Followed a 13/45 effort against GB with a 29/158 effort against ATL.

And now he had his worst day by any measure 8-for-18 against Seattle.

Why would you underestimate them like that. They don't have that record by accident.

Seattle is very very dangerous and it looks like they are hitting there stride late a loss to them certainly isn't something to be ashamed of

Look at their last 3 games , Lost 30 to 13 on their home field against a injured up under-maned Packer Team , won against a fallen and can't get up Falcons team that has lost 6 in a row 20 to 10 , Lost at home 35 to 7 in an absolute wood shed thrashing by the Hags .
You ask why would I underestimate them . I ask you why would I look at the above and believe that they will show up Thursday as a confident team ???

Confident? No. Desperate? Absolutely. They know their playoff lives are starting to slip away. They will give us everything they have.

Minnesota had 125 total yards of offense yesterday.

Seattle's defense was saying Teddy looked confused and scared, and they run the simplest defense in the world! They don't count on scheme, the count on talent.

The game plan is the same as it was for the Rams. Bottle up Peterson and make the QB beat us.

Bridgewater has like 8 TD passes all year.

Zimmer: "We're not as good as we think we are."

WATCH: mnvkn.gs/qVwd3o

My God, that must have been so very tough for him to go through. You could just see that loss eating away at him during the presser.

And the whole time, in the back of his mind, he is thinking, "We have to do it all over again...on the road...in four days...against an even better team."

Yikes.

The Rams came in with a QB we didn't much respect and rode a huge RB performance to victory. I agree the Vikings' backs are against the wall right now, and they'll have a lot of their own fans in the stands. I'm really glad this game is at home after a short week, but the Cards need to come out every bit as motivated as the Vikings.

I dunno if they will invade during a mid-week game like they would if it was on Sunday. Will be interesting to see.

Agree, no such thing as an easy game in the NFL.

We luckily came away from St Louis with few, if any, injuries. Minny lost 2 Defensive starters in the first quarter against Seattle.

"Linebacker Anthony Barr and safety Harrison Smith each left early in the first quarter and did not return. Barr had a groin injury and Smith suffered a hamstring injury." - NFL.com

Also DT Joseph and Sendejo were out for the game. Tough to play D with 4 of 11 starters out.

Minnesota had 125 total yards of offense yesterday.

The only thing that has been able to stop Adrian this year is Norv Turner. Someone posted his stats following his bad games this year. Look at the number of carries in those low output games for AP.

Recently, the networks have been posting Adrians yards per carry per quarter. They are something like 3.5 ypc in quarters 1 &2. 5.5 ypc in the 3rd and around 8 ypc in the 4th.

One advantage that I think we will have too is MN is very similar team to the Rams on offense and ST. They are both power run teams with bad offensive lines and no real recieving threat with a sub-par qb that can make plays when given the opportunity. Their defense has a good front line but better playmakers in their secondary. Their safety especially with smith, when healthy, can be a player that can cause team fits. They have athletic lbs that can keep up with DJ, but I'm not really sure how well their pass coverage is as a group. Their corners only have one big physical corner in Xavier Rhodes and have 2 experienced nickel types of corners in captain mutterlyn and Terrance Newman. I think if we play our game it will be a fun one to watch because it could be a repeat game like we had against the lambs Sunday.

Tough team to get a handle on: their rep is as a really good defensive team, but 16th total yards, 16th in passer rating surrendered and 23(!) in avg rush surrendered.

Offensively a little clearer-- a good running team and a poor passing team. Top 5 yds per attempt rushing / 28th in passer rating. 28th or so in total yards

It's odd to see an 8-4 team with a few key stats like those on the bottom 5 of the league.

Well Smith missed the game before and only practiced Friday. He tried to go and couldn't. Barr missed practices during the week. He came out with a groin injury in the first Seattle series. Joseph and Sendejo were late week scratches. Blanton came out after Exuum hit him and the reciever. Teddys non throwing shoulder has been bad for a few weeks. The Vikes were already beat up before Seattle. I hope we (Vikings) rest our defensive starters this week and get them healthy for the Chicago and Giants games. That can get us to 10 wins going into Green Bay.

I was a few weeks ago. Now I am just worried about the rest of the season. I know nfl coaches don't think this way, but I would rather sacrifice this game and try to get healthy. I know with AP we have a chance to win any game. He can carry the team on his shoulders while keeping opposing offenses off the field, but I feel this is more of a any given Sunday type of game for us. Our offensive line was decimated in the preseason, so we have been schemed to win with defense, special teams and the run game. Without the sefense, it will be tough going.

I was going to say you nailed the Vikes there, then I saw you live in MN. No wonder you know the team well.
