I hate to take the bait, but I'm going to anyway. Unless, Butler shows that "he's the man", I think we'll need a WR with our first or second pick in next year's draft. And one that plays on the outside. And I do expect Fitz to retire after this season.

There are some good WRs on the 2021 FA list. You could fill the need at WR through FA and then continue to build the roster with the draft in areas that need attention. I would prefer to see the team draft a CB and a true FS. Another EDGE player would be nice too. Hopkins is certainly your #1, get a solid #2 and Kirk will be your #3.

I am just super happy that Keim seems to have gone away from the 29+ year old FAs on 1 year deals who are just looking for a pay check. We needed to get younger and build through the draft and he seems to want to do that now

As the team moves further and further away from the Arians era, I believe BA had more control or influence on the makeup of the team with Keim playing a secondary or for lack of a better term, a assistant role to Arians.

cardpa, I'm glad you agree that we'll need a #2 WR who can play on the outside (MO), whether it's through FA or the draft. I, also agree about the need for a CB. I"m not sure about safety, until I see where we are going to play IS. If he's a LB then our need for a safety depends on how the Thompsons play, this season. JMO.

If one of the Thompsons doesn't show true FS ability, then I think that is a need. Almost all great defenses have or had a top tier free safety. One who can cover (speed required) and even more importantly, read the offense and adjust his coverage accordingly. Way too many times last season if one of our CBs got burnt, there was almost never that FS who could pick up the coverage. Baker just doesn't have the skills to fill that role and I am not sure Simmons has it either. Hopefully one of the Thompsons will step up and fill that role.

Supposed to be a ridiculously good wr draft next year too. Some hype it over this years class which was highly touted.
