I understand college student are idiots and rushing the field when Oregon was driving and was at UofA's 25...is interesting at best

The worst part was seeing Nic Foles turning around and waving for everyone to come down to the field at that moment.. I mean SERIOUSLY?!? I thought I missed something (was watching the game and the UFC fight at a sports bar in Phoenix) but everyone around saw the same thing and the ABC guys replayed him as well...

You can't blame the premature celebration purely on drunk ******** UofA students, you also have to look at your star QB as well...

Reminded me much of Kentucky/LSU a coulple years back, but atleast they waited until the last play of the game, and LSU was 50+ yards away.... woow... just wooooooooooow....

And yes ASU sucks too, so you don't have to point out they lost too....

Wow, what an exciting game. Completely heart-breaking. If we were to lose a game, I'd rather lose it like that. Even ASU fans have to admit that it was an exciting game. We just can't get lazy, still 2 really important games.

Hopefully the new recruits and the rest of the country will see the type of program we're building down in Tucson. And I don't want to hear that this was another "Stoops meltdown". This was 2 teams battling it out. Both playing incredibly well.

Defense lost their mojo in the end of the 4th quarter. They were shutting down Masoli and James after the 14 points. Oregon is a team you cant just put the breaks on and expect them to falter. Chip Kelly is a damn good coach and has his troops playing through the whistle. I commend him for that. Excellent game that didnt go our way unfortunately. If I had no vested interest in either team, this would be IMO the greatest game this season in college football.

This is a learning experience for the young guys all around. With a healthy Grigsby and Gronk next season, we should be much more explosive than this year. It's not far fetched to say that with the talent on defense and the young and developing guys on offense that we can be a BCS contender next season. USC is falling apart at the seams, Cal has become a middle of the road team, and Gerhart at Stanford is graduating, who basically put that team on his shoulders.

Wipe your tears my friends, there are bigger and brighter things to come for this team.

Good post. And I am one who has no vested interest in this game... I thought it was arguably the greatest game this season... maybe because I was so surprised. It was my first time watching Arizona from start to finish. They surprised the heck out of me. Very talented group. Seem to be lacking in just a vew critical areas: D-Line and Linebackers for sure, and I have to think that if Foals had a true stud at RB, to go along with an extremely talented WR group, that offense would really be something special. If Foals continues to develop, he can possibly be a Heisman contender next year or the year after.

Great game.

Who really cares about the fans getting ready to rush the field? Seems like only bitter ASU fans are the ones bringing that up. Anyone with any common sense saw that there was a very dicey situation at hand on that final drive. Oregon is just too damn explosive.

Like TJ says I have been focused on next year since we lost at Cal last week. Our guys are getting VALUABLE experience, Our QB is a stud, Gronk/Grigsby will be back next year (hopefully) and the schedule sets up nice.

Bad news ASU fan. You got another year of being the second best NCAA team in the state. I am thinking BCS next year depending on how much Barkley develops over the offseason.

As for last night. Classic national game that we didn't look bad in and that will give recruits the sense that we are one or two players away from being special.

When Gameday makes their next visit to Tempe wake me up.

Oh and by the way. I will be in Tempe next week to watch us thrash you by 50. Book it.

Epic game, and you Cats fans get some sympathy from me. The game could've been iced in regulation after the 4th down stop but Stoops turtled up the offense. It's amazing how often playing not to lose comes back and bites teams.

Trying to milk the clock to the last millisecond took the offense out of their rythym. Stupid move

Obviously thats terrible but where exactly are you going with your post O?

Really irritating when the actions of a stupid few are generalized as the sensibilities of an entire fan base or group.

Should I assume that all Sun Devil football players are murders and all ASU cheerleaders are future porn stars?

The fans behavior had nothing to do with why Arizona lost this game so what Foles, the students, or bottle throwers were doing is idiotic but rather meaningless. The D couldn't make a stop in the fourth quarter and the coaching staff made some questionable clock management decisions. End of story. Arizona still has a ridiculous amount of young talent offensively and is set up with it's schedule and returning players to have another shot at doing something special in 2010 which is all you can ask for.

I'm not bullish on a BCS or anything, still don't think we have a good enough game manager to win the inevitable close games in the Pac-10 but things are continuing to trend upwards. The recruiting and player development is solid and facilities are supposedly on the way. The program is close, we're winning and haven't lost by more than 10 points in almost three full seasons. I'm just not sure we'll ever be able to take the next step into the championship realm.

Regarding other posters, coming over to yuk it up over Arizona losses just screams insecurity. I know it's asking a lot considering the sources but a least try to make a reasonably intelligent opinion and support it.

BTW - I predicted 6-6 before the season so we're still on pace for that at worst. Arizona Football with it's budget and facilities is a 7-8 win program anyways so maybe we don't deserve to win these kinds of games. At least we can be realistic about the program though unlike our friends and their infamous eternally sleeping giant in Tempe.

We don't venture into ASU threads to talk about how Dennis Erickson would rather hug and sing kumbaya than when a football game, I don't know what these guys feel the need to come in here and bash. Guess we can let the game next week do the talking for us.

Still exhausted from the game last night. Honestly that is the closes football game I can remember in a long, long time. It is a strange feeling to be proud and utterly disappointed at the same time. This one hurts even more than the superbowl to me.

Fact of the matter is we blew the season not last night but last saturday.

The Cal game was huge, in terms of momentum and our Rose Bowl odds. Ganted we still needed to beat Oreogn no matter what, but when you are in firm control over your Rose Bowl odds and you blow two game sin a row that speaks volumes of where we are as a program.

We still cant win close games, and we ALWAYS try to bleed the clock dry. Has the staff not figured out when we play Oregon its not about time of possession its about points on the board? The worst thing we did last night was run out of a pro formation late in teh game with the lead. When do we run a pro formation? We pretty much dont. If you are gonna run, why not spread them out and give them something to think about? Why not throw the bubble screens? Why the hell do we change our offense with the lead?

Ill never understand why our coaching staff does that, you would think after all the close losses they would learn to keep attacking.

Either way, we had a shot to be playing ASU with the Rose Bowl on the line and we crapped the bed two weeks in a row.

Answer: Worst seasons of ASU football in our lifetimes

http://www.arizonasportsfans.com/vb...ball-in-our-lifetimes-143820.html#post2130337

Question: What thread would this dork be better off posting in?

But we have university of Aquafina posters all over our board. Why not come over here and share the love? WE want you to fail in everything from life to sports. Its not that we dont like you, its that we hate you. I dont see how it is that hard for you to understand. You seem like a smart guy, I mean you have a degree in bottle tossing after all. I saw you over the Oregon tunnel, you had your 520 shirt on, spider webs on the elbow, tear drop under the eye. Its cool man, I get the MO of au fans. Poor losers that cant even fall back on hoops any more.

I think you need to go easy on the malt liquor for a while, buddy.

Honestly, you aren't doing your fellow asu brethren any favors with your stream-of-consciousness ramblings.
