And you are just going to assume he wasn't told? Agents are paid based on a % of the contract value. So the agent is just going to throw away thousands of dollars and not inform his client?
Even so this isn't some confusing multi million/billion dollar organization deal here that is so convoluted that you need attorneys out the wazoo and accountants etc... Its a contract to play sports with escalators and bonuses. If the player himself didnt make himself privy to the details then he is an ASSHAT as far as Im concerned. No different then the idiots who just hand their money over to an accountant and say manage my money yet never check on them and before you know it all their money has been squandered and embezzled and they are now broke.
Nobody to blame but yourself. No excuses.
Fair argument.
Are you going to assume he was told ?
Yeah, yeah. Is millions of dollars, and its the agents job, etc., etc.
In the business I work in, I see idiots that throw millions out the window because of the ignorance of their job EVERY DAY. And I mean EVERY DAY!
Just because it involves millions of dollars, doesn't make the people (agent and player) and less stupid or poor at their job then people who work with pennies and nickels all day.
Not to mention, a million dollars to big business is like $100 dollars to the rest of us. Again, the reason I saw, is because I see it EVERY DAY. And yes, it is hard to watch.
Money does not equal intelligence.
They both got skin in the blame.
Cause it is not like Brown was out screwing around. He was working, just not at the right location. He has to know where he needs to be, and his agent is supposed to make sure,
even if he has to tell the grown man 50 times where he needs to be.
JMHO, in this debate.
Stupid all around is where we all agree at least.
