I've been to many away stadiums.

Worst is Philly
2nd worst ...is SF... Their fan base are a holes

That video is flat out scary! That's why you don't say dang thing when you are at an away stadium other than, "I'm just here for the game, and the game is just entertainment." If they say your team sucks...you say 'yep' and 'I have a family, just here for entertainment...you guys have fun.' if they still get talking...'how about I buy you a beer.' You do ANYTHING and everything needed to stay away from fighters.

The security people didn't do enough...that guy still kicked him in the head again at the end...straight on. I hope they find him and he goes to jail for a week or two....odds are he's been there before.

People are such fanatics at these games...it's insane.

In Philly I huge dude picked me up ....literally picked me up by my shoulders while in line for the restroom and said 'you are going to the women restroom' ... ' I said 'seriously!!?! dude come on?' I looked around to the other philly fans...while I was in the air being carried out..."come on someone do something. This isn't right" Fortunately my cousin came from near by and shoved the guy...I dropped and he told him off.
That's ONE of the stories from Philly. That place is insane

SF we had peanuts and other stuff thrown at us....I was with my dad and step mom and my wife. They kept throwing stuff at all of us...yes all of us. We got security...they said, "So"

Away games are nasty. It's not like our house where we welcome all...we don't care. So long as people are cool we are a friendly fan base.

I know it happens everywhere, but talk about immaturity and not being able to be a "good sport". I hate losing and really hate losing, but at the end of the day who cares. Guess when you mix in booze and egos, its gonna happen

1.) This is the NFL... never see this crap at college games.

2.) This is how incredibly dysfunctional, societal mishaps take out their frustrations and anger...

3.) I have no doubt that, like in 99.9% of all other similar incidents, alcohol is involved...

Things like this seem to be getting worse. I grew up in Big Ten country (my dad was a Purdue professor), and almost never saw stuff like that in the '60s and '70s.

However, when I lived in Dallas in the '80s and early '90s, my girlfriend at the time who was a U. of Texas grad, took me to a Texas-Oklahoma game at the old Cotton Bowl. Couldn't believe the rudeness and aggressiveness. College kids screaming the F-word in the faces of elderly opposing fans. Really revolting.

Also went to a lot of Cowboys games in Texas Stadium in the '80s and '90s...would see some stuff from time-to-time, but nothing like what exists today.

Haven't had any problems in Carolina or St. Louis , but I have never went to a game in Philly or SF. Also heard Oakland can be bad.

I had a bunch of friends at the game last night. 3 of them were Vikings fans. 2 had no problems just wore Viking hats. the other took his mom, he had a Viking hat she apparently had a Viking shirt on. He posted on FB that people were shouting obscenities at his mom(who's late 70's early 80;s) so they left early.

I have not been to the new stadium, one of the hopes was the prices would keep out the bad seeds, apparently not.

Remember the big deal in the bathroom last year where 2 gangmembers laid out some guy and the guy had a serious head trauma. I think after that they started cracking down some.

But, sure seems like it happens way more at pro games. I go to about the amount of ASU and Cards game each year. I have only seen a couple altercations at the ASU game and I have seen a fight EVERY TIME I have been at a Cards game. One time there were 2 fights within 5 minutes of each other and were in completely different places. So stupid

I got spit on and cussed at down at a football game in Tucson. I will never go back there for a game a again. I have talked to many ASU fans who have had similar experiences in Tucson. It is worse than it is for ua fans to come up to Tempe.

Remember this one from a few years ago? Security is right there, guys right next to security throwing snow at these Niners fans.

It isn't that they are bad fans, it is that they belong in prison. It is assault.

Yep. Went down there with a buddy awhile back and my buddy was in the restroom at the urinal with an ASU hat on and a dude behind him ripped his hat off and threw it on the ground and said "you can't wear that here!". Really? What's the point of something like that?

I read that the Viking fan instigated this. Was told to walk away and kept mouthing off to niners fans. I guess the Niner fan then had enough. Not excusing what they did but there are 2 sides to every story.

Ridiculous. The guy and the girl who both kept kicking the guy while he was down and defenseless are real heroes.

Pathetic excuses for human beings. I dont care if alcohol is involved or not it's no excuse nor is the fact that the guy was "mouthing off" Are you kidding me dude? The fact that he kept talking justifies these people kicking him while he's on the ground? They should all be totally ashamed of themselves. Pathetic. Both sides of this story tell the same tale. These people are savages.

Yes it always the idiots fans that give their team a bad name. I have been to many away games and have only encountered this at Arrowhead a few years ago. Drunk fans making lewd comments to all the females young and old around them. Usher was too afraid to do anything about it. Was nice when the police came and escorted them and the usher out the stadium without incident.

I'm always careful on the road. Some Cardinals fans at Dallas last year thought it was a good idea to talk a lot of nasty trash towards the end of that game. The back and forth got so bad I took my gear off. Mostly embarrassed they acted that way.

Does anyone know why the guy on the motorcycle blasted the old man in the face after Sundays game in the parking lot at WestGate?

THe story around right now is that the Viking fan and ONE 49er fan were exchanging pleasantries and then got face to face and several other 49er fans jumped in and beat down the Viking fan.

That's the problem, I don't condone fighting at all but if you have 2 drunk morons yelling at each other and it comes to blows so be it. The problem at football games is it's never 2, it almost always seems to be 4 on 1 or 5 on 2 etc.

And CFS I totally get what you mean about it not being wise to mouth off. I agree. If you just go to the game and keep your mouth shut you probably wont get into these issues. I just cant handle the sight of these guys kicking the man while he is defenseless on the ground. At some point doesn't your humanity kick in and you think hey, maybe this has gone far enough? Just saying I dont disagree with you, I just dont think there is any excusing what these people do on a regular basis.

Then again, a huge portion of the Niners fan base goes to the game LOOKING for a fight. I would never, ever attend a sporting event in San Francisco, Oakland or Philly as an opposing fan.

Its not all of them. Im not going to act like an entire fanbase are like that. The Eagles have moreso than any other team, but all teams have bad apples. Cards included.

For this video, the assaulters are the typical demographic. And you can see an older man, in SF jersey at the end, trying to stop it.

All teams have bad fans mixed in

Skewed through the eyes of a Sun Devil.

There are a number of incidents that have happened at SDS against Arizona fans, including aggression, spitting, dumping beer, etc. I won't attend the rivalry game in Tempe.

To argue that it's sunshine and roses for us in your stadium is pure bias.

There are idiot fans with every team.

I see a bunch at Cardinals games. I've seen them at every NFL stadium that I've visited. Some teams tend to have way more than others. They stand out like a sore thumb.

It's been a few years since my last road game, but most that I've attended were in DC. I think I took more pity than abuse. My how times have changed. :)

Frankly SDS got so bad, I wouldn't take my wife/kids to those games. Too many folks just looking for fights there.

I'm surprised we haven't seen any litigation against teams/league for allowing an unsafe/hostile environment.

Go Cards!!!
