the only time I can ever remember drinking before the game was tailgaiting for the NFC Title game and the Super Bowl... and we drank A LOT (this is a theme), but because of the ridiculous adrenaline coursing through my veins, I was still completely sober come game time and never had a drink once inside. It's weird what football does to me.

I did the same thing, but only because DCR and Linderbee invited CBUS and I to tailgate with them for the NFC championship game. They had some witches brew (I can't remember the what they called it). It was strong especially when you eat the fruit that was in it.

At the Texans game last year there was this couple right in front of us who were making out and literally had their hands in each others pants. Disgusting... I thought about calling security but just let it go. I mean, get a room!!

FYI they made 4 arrests today, one was a juvenile girl who was cited and released to her parents. the other 3 were the men in the 49er jerseys, 2 from Modesto, one from San Jose, they were all charged with Felony assault. Channel 2 news said police have not yet confirmed the claim that all 3 had prior arrests for violence and the 2 from Modesto were allegedly gang members.

The Viking fan and the security guard were injured but expected to recover fully.

49er's fans were gang members? Go figure. I liked them better in the "wine and cheese" days. GO :newcards::newcards::newcards:

I have to say I don't enjoy going to NFL games anymore. Ive been to several different stadiums and they all have one thing in common regardless of place, race, team tradition, etc. and that is fans that cannot control their behavior whether it is fueled by alcohol or not which i'm sure it often clearly is. I have a theory that is not my own, but that I believe and it is that alcohol only intensifies your personal behavior or emotion at the time of consumption. so if you are an idiot before you drink well you are a bigger idiot after you drink. if you think that only one type of idiot is to blame for this then you are mistaken. there are all types of idiots in every NFL city.

as you all know I'm a fan of that team no one likes or everyone loves and our fans that travel on the road are pretty lousy, but they are not the only ones. games now a days in many stadiums are filled with the opposing fan base and they all want to gloat and fight for some reason. it is beyond immature and stupid. 20 years ago maybe it was only in philly or Oakland or whatever, but now I'd rather just stay home with people who can have some beers and act like they are older than pre-school age.

I agree Cheese... However, I am always amazed how people seemingly are able to come up with the $$ to purchase tix (lower level mind you), as well as spend God knows how much more on alcohol before and during the game! I try hard not to judge people, but in all seriousness, so many of these folks give the appearance that they are not exactly swimming in cash... yet, there they are. Each home game. Drunk off their arses as they walk into the stadium, and then ordering beer after beer after beer during the game. Crazy...

I do understand your comment because I've often wondered the same thing. But how do we know how much money people have? even if they are foreign and speak a different language? The cowboys have a very pro-Mexican national fan base(as do the cardinals) and some of them commute from mexico at times to watch the game live. some of them make good money and have more money than some americans do. they are good people that are good fans of the game. My aunt lives in mexico and she travels the world to watch soccer games because she has a great job and can afford to do that. I know you aren't talking about these people just making a point because the people you brought up unfortunately drunk or not commit crimes(many of them are American citizens) ruin it for everyone.

I'm amazed too at how much people spend on games. I can't see how people afford to park at jerry's world for a game and I make a relatively good income. I just refuse to line the pockets of greedy jerks that don't really care about anything other than money. But I guess to each their own. I'm sure some of them are spending too much and others probably have a lot more money than we think they do.

Well you have to realize in this area if you're over 14 years old and a Hispanic male, and you get arrested, they are going to assume you're in a gang. They may be I have no idea but that's just how it is, racial profiling is alive and well in Silicon Valley

I said Modesto it was Hollister. Apparently the fan from San Jose had season tickets which have now revoked by the 49ers.

I made jungle juice for that and we renamed it Cardinal Koolaid. It was delicious. Best tailgate ever. Our friend from across the pond was there too.
