It's beginning to look as though this may have been a murder/suicide.

Police Reveal More Details In McNair's Death
Posted by Aaron Wilson on July 4, 2009 10:47 PM
During a televised press conference regarding the shooting death of Steve McNair and his girlfriend, Nashville Police Department spokesman Don Aaron confirmed that McNair's wife, Mechelle McNair, is not a suspect.
"Mrs. McNair is obviously very distraught," Aaron said during a briefing televised live on CNN. "Police chaplains have visited Mechelle McNair. At this juncture, we do not believe she is involved. We have not ruled anything out. We may be leaning a certain way, but we have not ruled anything out."
Aaron disclosed that a gun was discovered near Sahel Kazemi, McNair's girlfriend, adding that Kazemi was killed by a single gunshot wound to the head.
And McNair was shot multiple times, including the head.
Aaron said that McNair's friend and bodyguard, Robert Gaddy, called the police at 1:35 p.m. after seeing the bodies.
Per Aaron, witnesses said that McNair had arrived at the condo between 1:30 to 2 a.m. Saturday morning.
"From what I understand, she was a friend of McNair's," Aaron said.
Kazemi was arrested two days ago for DUI and refusal to take a Breathalyzer exam. The black Cadillac Escalade involved in the DUI is registered to both Kazemi and McNair.
McNair wasn't charged with anything in the DUI stop and was allowed to take a taxi home.
When asked several pointed questions, Aaron said that he wasn't aware of a woman allegedly confronting McNair recently and threatening his life. He added that he wasn't aware of any note left at the scene.
Aaron said that Kazemi was employed at Dave & Buster's.
