I still can't believe in today's day and age that players don't all where mouthpieces especially with all the hype around concussions. Yet you see Kim Newton sitting there chewing his gum obviously not wearing one it's crazy.

Panthers need a touchdown not a field goal. Their defense won't stop the Colts from getting into field goal range.

Newton's doing this completely by himself.

he really is carrying their offense. The one thing with him is I don't get the impression he's readign the field, if the primary guy is open he'll throw it otherwise he looks to run and occasionally makes big throws off teh run

But he's damn good, he had some issues in college that scared me but I had no idea he'd be this good in the NFL as a passer

Damn!

Rooting for Carolina next week against the Pack. Going to Carolina in the NFC title game doesn't scare me and Green Bay's got the tougher schedule. If it's Carolina 1 and us 2, I like our chances.

Man they just find a way to win. Luck won't get much sleep tonight after that one he forced that and cost his team the game

They don't wow you but they just keep on winning.

That defense was exhausted, sure expect teams to play no huddle more against them to wear down their thin DL.

Newton is remarkable

I noticed that, I was kinda rooting to see some of his teeth on the field.

Gruden keeps talking about how much he has "matured" yeah right... He's still the same classless POS he's always been, he's the Keyshawn Johnson of QB's.

And they tried to do it AGAIN with the playclock this time.

I wonder if the NFL is going to investigate.

I rewound the game twice and counted down myself from the time the play clock started, to the time the refs blew the whistle and said the clock went from 7, err 10 seconds to zero. The play clock ran out, and the colts should have been penalized for delay of game. Not sure if there would have been a 10 sec. runoff since the game clock was stopped, but nevertheless, that was ridiculous.

I don't know what the hell is going on with officiating in the NFL, but there has been some blatant miscues this season, and that was another one.

Screw the Panthers. They will fade soon enough.

Agreed, Only 2 teams they have beaten so far has a record of 4-4 (Seattle, NO), everyone else is sub .500. They have what may be one of the easiest schedules going. They will lose next week to Green Bay and looking at the balance of their schedule they have potential loses to @Dallas, @NO, @Atl, @NYG. Dallas will have Romo back, and all these games are on the road. This may be the most overrated undefeated team in the NFL right now.

I didn't like him in college at all but I don't think he's POS now. He seems to be involved in the community. Is he arrogant yeah, but because of the way he plays he's one of the few QB's NFL defenders routinely get to hit hard, the others are all sliding, he doesn't. So I think he talks back and it looks arrogant.

I think the ruling was we can't penalize the Colts because the clock went blank so we can't be sure and they couldn't have beensure.

Eitehr their clock was malfunctioning or the people running it were intentionally trying to steal seconds from the Colts it happened 3 times.

i wouldn't put Janikowski in there. Only reason I put Vinni in there because of the abundance of clutch kicks he's made throughout his career.

2 Super Bowl winning kicks don't hurt his chances. However, no kicker is a 1st ballot hall of famer.

Newton was sure passing well last night. On the other hand, you could just tell it was a matter of time before Luck got picked off at the end of the game/OT.
