2 Super Bowl winning kicks don't hurt his chances. However, no kicker is a 1st ballot hall of famer.

Why? Kicker is arguably the 2nd most valuable position on the team. Not sure why they get dismissed so frequently.

Because there are other players who contribute more to the game than a kicker does. Sure a kicker is important but so is an offensive lineman or CB. Unless there are no other candidates then by all means elect a kicker but if there are more players deserving of consideration then they should get in ahead of a kicker. Ask yourself this, why is there only 1 punter in the Hall? Is Ray Guy that special to be the only one? Are punters not important? Listen to this board they certainly are.

I didn't like him in college at all but I don't think he's POS now. He seems to be involved in the community. Is he arrogant yeah, but because of the way he plays he's one of the few QB's NFL defenders routinely get to hit hard, the others are all sliding, he doesn't. So I think he talks back and it looks arrogant.

Agreed, POS was probably a bit over the top, but it's not just his arrogance that rubs me the wrong way, it's his sniveling crybaby, hide under a towel and cry BS when things don't go his way, which granted...hasn't been much this year.

That being said, I'd be thrilled to have him on my team.

Newton is remarkable

although at the end -- it was a tale to two forced passes that were tipped into the air--

Davis for the Colts couldnt complete the INT

Kuechle for the Panthers did

Had that Davis INT happened and the Colts won -- you would have to look at that Newton throw and shake your head

Oh yeah that's the game, Kuechly dropped one in the endzone too. But Newton at times is just the entire offense.

now again some of that is because of how he plays, obviously I can't know for sure but so many of those pass plays seem to be one read if the guys open he throws it if not he starts moving around and then chooses do I run or do I stop and hit someone that broke free during the scramble.

I get the impression there's very few times where he gets to the 3rd or 4th read standing in the pocket.

So I think his ability to improvise plays is remarkable, but it's also somewhat due to his own style of play. He had the Ginn TD he dropped, the INT Davis couldn't get.

Luck had a pass near the goalline hit TY Hilton in the hands leaping catch but one John Brown makes every week now and Hilton dropped it(again it was wet).

Crazy game.
