According to the Newark Star-Ledger, Nets rookie Josh Boone (who we almost picked) is getting surgery on his shoulder and will be out 4-6 months.

Maybe it's a good thing we didn't pick him then.

Is there a list out there where a person could see exactly who the Suns wanted to draft, or even considered very hard.

It was a well kept secret. It is widely believed that Thabo Sefolosha was on the top of their list and that they would have taken Ronnie Brewer if he had been available. I'm not convinced they were as high on Rodney Carney as the other two, but his name came up in news reports.

I heard they had Morrison and Foye as the top 2 prospects respectively. It was also said if they were able to pick up the #7 pick from Boston they would have been choosing between Gay and Sefolosha. Brewer, Carney and one of Armstrond/Simmons were also guys they reportedly wanted.

The hard part is that agents would routinely claim a team was interested in order to increase the buzz. I never saw Amstron nor Simmons mentioned by the local papers.

I'm skeptical that Armstong was on their wish list. He has a lot of quesiton marks about his game including very limited offensive skills. Simmons is not really a D'Antoni type player at all.

The Armstrong/Simmons thing was from D'Antoni prior to the draft on the radio. The guy interviewing him was listing names(Armstrong among them) and D'Antoni gave a sheepish response of having an intrest in some of those players and talked about having intrest in a big maybe one that was not listed(Simmons was the only one that made since from the names that were left out). Just speculation on my part though.
