I think a lot of this rests on the OC. The guy is complete garbage, just like their coach. I have a theory that the front office promoted Tomsula knowing he would fail, and moreover that Kaep would fail because they want more picks and get rid of Kaep because he was Harbaugh's guy. Have to have him fail before the fans will accept cutting him.

I think Balke and York figured it was the players (that they picked) rather than the coach --

I think they are truly shocked how bad the offense is --

Add to that a three sigma wave of retirements + law trouble

And you have all the makings of 4-12.

And I have heard more than one Bay Area sports fan call Jed York "Daniel Synder West"

The franchise was doomed the minute Ed DeBartolo was forced out years ago. They have been lucky a few times when they have had really good coaches that have coached them up to win. It's as simple as that.

Someone told me that the niners owners wanted the revenue streams that the new stadium provides. And they were willing to spend whatever it took to get that. Now that they have the new stadium they don't want to spend any money. That's why Harbaugh was fighting with management, and ultimately why he left.

I guess we will find out if that's true in the next couple of years. If it is then we can look forward to the niners being awful for a long time.

This was sent from my cell pjone so please excise any typeos or other errors.

Personally I'd take kapernick with someone who knew anything about offense imo they are putting him in a position to fail which someone already said. He has a talent that you can't coach you just need to put him in the right offense. But because I hate the 9ers I'm good with how this is playing out

Right the problem is the right offense for him means you can only sign QB"s like him as backups or you can't play that offense. ANd QB'd who play like that, end up injured.

THey need to let him run now and then yes, but if he can't make plays in the pocket he's worthless.
