Here's Murray in the 2019 Orange Bowl vs. Alabama.

FWIW - Q. Williams is #92 for Alabama. He's in the backfield the whole game.

I was thinking about this video all night. It sure made me think twice about drafting Murray #1.

He forced so many throws into coverage it was scary. Maybe he had to do it against Alabama but he is not going to get away with it in the NFL.

Maybe if I watched all of Murray's games I might feel differently but I'm stepping back about drafting a quarterback with the top pick for now. Maybe more video might reverse my opinion.

Do you Josh Rosen can be a good NFL QB?

And what are the chances that a running QB wins an NFL title as a team centerpiece?

And you have ignored this but Murray actually ran more last year than Vick ever did in college, so he is in fact a running QB.

CW- these issues come up every year to several draft prospects (last year it was Lamar Jackson who was the whipping boy).Stats can be used as examples of being good decision making or improvising but they don`t tell the whole story do they? The Murray fans refuse to acknowledge the fact that Murray has some issues (height, weight, bulk, running QB ,one year starter, etc). All those issues will be rehashed daily by Coaches, scouts etc.The only ones besides Murray fans who simply gloss over his warts are mostly Media talking heads who love the frenzy that they help createbecause it draws more attention to them. The NFL loves it because it draws more people to paying more than casual attention to the draft.

BW52 and Krang, look, you guys are both right. Murray has some issues. He's not a prototype, can't-miss pick by any means (BW52 you mention size and weight, and that's fair). And having JR already on the roster (who I think is talented, and who can be a good NFL QB) is a decent reason to not even consider selecting Murray at all.

Drafting him would be a gamble, a big gamble. Krang, you say he's a running QB. Fine. Yes, if a team drafts him, they have to use his running ability to maximize his value, and that exposes him to additional hits. Fair argument.

I admit those are fair points for not drafting him. Those are facts. They can be debated, but they are reasonable.

What I would ask you guys to stay away from is unfairly trashing the kids intelligence or character. That would not be reasonable based on the very limited amount of evidence to support that he's "dumb" or "bad at the whiteboard" or any silly *hit like that.

Not saying either of you have done it, that but I do think it would be beneath both of you. I understand how bad you think it would be for the franchise if we draft Murray, but you're both way better than going after the kid on a personal level.
