Horrible. Just based on this he needs his suspension extended for the season. If there is no outrage at this then the league is a joke.

What bothers me about this in relation to the Cards is that we talk about Dweed's pot issues all the time but I don't hear much at all about him breaking his old lady's clavicle.

This is crazy if this is legit he should be suspended indefinitely. If not then Goodall has no authority to suspend anybody for anything else ever again.

You can tell by how nonchalant he is after he knocked her out that it was not the first time he's punched her. May not even be the 1st time he's knocked her out. His reaction almost looked routine in nature.
He needs to out for at least a year

I doubt that he can after already handing out punishment. I suspect DeMaurice Smith would have him and the NFL in court in record time. The NFL got it wrong and probably has to live with it. Unless it turns out that Rice lied about his actions, there probably isn't much Roger can do.

Maybe but might depend on if the Commish saw this before he handed out the punishment. If not then he maybe able to hand out more of a punishment. I do think the Players Union would be up in arms about it but public sentiment would probably be against them on this.

Yeah, the BS the league is trying to spew that they did not see the video is ridiculous. They have access to all information available. And if they didn't push to see the video prior to the punishment, then they are flat out incompetent.
I never saw the video but I knew that it existed. There has been word on streets for months that the full video was available but they just weren't releasing it to the public. How else do you think it was known that he punched her out cold. For the league to say they could not get a hold of it is borderline cover-up status.

Of course, they would say that. But if law enforcement had that video, it seems unlikely that Rice got off with just probation and anger management counseling.
I wonder whether his fiance even knew what really happened before today?!

Yeah, I added something after my initial post. Roger might be able to go after him for lying or at least not telling the whole story. I find it hard to believe he'd have given him just 2 games if Ray had said something like "she lipped off so I decked her a couple of times".

I believe the league didn't see it. They are all about public perception and there's no way they see this and don't think it will be leaked at some point.
The question is, had the Ravens seen it. They still have not punished Rice in this incident. If I'm the owner, I cut him regardless of what the NFL does, or does not do.
and it took TMZ $$$$ to get the footage the cops would not release. Deplorable is too kind of a word to describe what he did and the ensuing cover up. I would not find it hard to believe the casino/hotel was part of the plan to hide the full video and their was complicity with the local cops. They are inclined , routinely, to cover their asses so as not to become off limits to reckless spending celebs.
I will believe the NFL has not seen this footage until now.

Screw the season. If Baltimore had any balls this dude would be cut from the team and the rest of the NFL would blacklist him. He should never play another down in the NFL.
