when I said nothing to insult them may be acting a bit feminine about the whole thing.

At least quote the whole thing.

"And its still dumb and backwards". Unless you are and IT then how as that an insult on YOU.

Just because someone does an act I think to be dumb doesnt mean I think the person to be stupid. Its like saying Warner threw a stupid pass, does that mean I think Warner is dumb?

By "it" I assumed you were talking about my post. Otherwise, i dont understand why you would have quoted it. Last I checked, my posts were my opinions.

In your opinion. Some less feminine folks would just say boys will be boys from time to time.

I guess we are coming from different angles then. You are thinking in terms of boys while I am thinking in terms of grown up men.

What else would "it" mean besides getting into fist fights with loved ones, thats what this whole thread is about.

Well, any way it will cost Smith two game checks.

He is suspended for the first two games of the season.

I apologize to the board. I should have never started in on a hot button topic. No matter what side you are on it is never productive. Its why I dont go to the P&R Board.

Thats a $220,000 mistake for Smith.

Also I was mistaken it wasnt the 2nd time Smith has done this it was the 3rd time. He also got into a fight with a UDFA WR in 2002 as well, right after his film room session sucker punch.

Smith keeps having incidents where the term "sucker-punch" re-occurs.
Sounds like a cheap shot "artist" the more i hear.

I'm suprised that he wasn't charged with assault based on the damage he did, or was it simply a few punches thrown?

The result sucks, but if 2 guys are fighting out of equal malace, then both have an equal chance of winning the fight. Hamilin is as much to blame as Smith and should also be duly suspended even if he lost the fight.

It is unprofessional and unbecoming of both players and Hamlin should not get off scott free from team/leauge sanctions just because he came out on the losing end of a mutual fight.

Turns out the broken orbital bone stuff was nonsense. Nothing broken.

Oh stop it.

Nothing but a good debate going on here. I don't think anyone would feel slighted.

Some think "It's just a fight"

Some think "Any fight is stupid"

Big whoop. Funny that we got into a fight about fights! (well, a debate but the other way sounds cooler)

What makes this instance so different is because in this case, and Smith's last case the fight didn't happen at the end of a play, or on the field. It was off the field where it is debatable that "its part of the game" excuse doesn't work. Hence the 2 game suspension

My only concern about all this is that there is no excuse in the world that a court or a policeman would except when it comes to fisticuffs. They usually hit you with some SERIOUS charges, and punnishment.

You dont think the coaches would have taken that into account? I at least hope they would have, you have to take it case by case.

Coach Fox stated it was a broken nose and just a cut under his eye instead of an orbital bone break.

I wasn't going to be able to snag him in fantasy drafts because of my positioning and team needs, but let some poor schmucks ignore him and let him slide to me. He'll be a steal if he slides. Two games? Yeah, that'll hurt early, but to have a receiver of his ability playing the rest of the way, and only now probably have to spend a 4th rounder on him? Yes please!

That would be a good value pick.

Same with Jonathan Stewart
