Herbert continues to amaze me...never thought in a million years he’d be this good this soon. Certainly never imagined he’d be a much better passer than KM.

but but our QB can juke and run

Tom is throwing dimes and lasers all over the field and with velocity. At 43. Was just a system QB in NE though ;)

Herbert might be the best starting rookie for a while

He hasn’t been a system QB since 2007.

I agree however there are many many posters on here for years who have called him nothing but a system quarterback and said that if he wasn’t with Bill Belichick or with the patriots he wouldn’t be a very good player... You’ve been here long enough you have to seen the postsyou’ve been here long enough you have to seen the posts

He is and I wouldn’t trade him. But it’s not what we need him to be special at if we want championships
Understandable. Just seen a poorly done attempted mocking by you lol but I agree with this statement.

Cam will probably never start again after that embarrassing display.

I’m agreeing and pointing out the silliness of those takes. And too add it’s not looking like a good year for Bill.

Watching him in college, I didn't think Herbert would be that good either.

Cam is a female dog carrying pups (I’d write *****, but I don’t wanna get banned for a week). Guy only gets in his own way...

I am a BB fan tho. I like what he does as a coach, so I feel for him.

TB12 was phenomenal today...

While Herbert is passing better than Kyler.

It should be noted that Pep Hamilton was Andrew Luck's coach in college/NFL. Great QB developer.

Also...something that we still fail to do consistently. Play action pass from under center is a QB's friend (at least when you run it enough to convince the team you might actually run the football)

Its something we really need in our offense.

Herbert way more exciting to watch than Philip Rivers ever was. Easier to cheer for, too.

This.

Play action opens up a lot of options.

2 things Kliff is not doing to help Kyler/offense.

1. Play action
2. Not enough motion

He's still a young QB. We need a legit threat to be able to run with our RBs and we need the motion to help him identify if they are in man/zone.

We saw way more motion last year as well.

I dont blame Kliff for Kyler missing throws, reads, etc.

However, we gotta mix the offense up as well.

Last week we ran a lot of motion and we’ve ran a lot of PA this season. The problem is we’re not running the ball effectively enough until the 4th quarter to make the linebackers respect the PA

Fair. However, I was speaking on the year overall.

I think we have to run from under center sometimes.

I’m sorry, yes from under center, we haven’t done that. We’ve ran some rollout plays from under center, but mostly out of shotgun. I missed that from your other post
