He is ridiculously smart, but it seems like he is trying way too hard. Even when he is listening to people talk he looks overly intense.

I also liked Dennis Miller on Monday Night football. Being smart should be a bonus.

K.J. Hamler: I could have walked in to the end zone if final pass had been thrown to me

I could have walked in,” Hamler told James Palmer of NFL Network.

Clearly, Hamler is frustrated. He’s not the only one. The Broncos, who had Super Bowl aspirations, are now 2-3 and keep losing games they have opportunities to win.

That's the one IMO defensible mistake Wilson made. Hamler is right he was wide open for a bit there but the thing is he ran the exact same pattern the rookie WR ran earlier where Wilson threw it and the DB picked it in the endzone. So even if Wilson saw Hamler he was probably nervous to throw it having had it picked earlier. In the postgame on tv they were saying that was actually the WR's fault not Wilsons that on that route unless you are WIDE open(like Hamler was on his) you're supposed to cut the route so that the CB can't get underneath. Wilson threw it expecting the WR to do it, he didn't and the CB cut it and picked it.

So with the Hamler route he's so open his job apparently is to stay deeper to give Wilson more room to throw it, he just didn't throw it. you could see him right after take his helmet off and he was hitting the ground over and over, the replay shows why he's just wide open there for a bit.

Wilson had a shoulder injury coming into the game he's actually had it for 3 weeks now and I'm convinced there's something wrong he has a dead arm he has no velocity at all. Whether he's washed, or just needs to rest, he clearly doesn't have it. Their backup QB is Brett Rypien.

What a colossal cluster. I was convinced Denver was a SB contender when they got Russ assuming his finger surgery from last year was done and he'd be himself again, he just looks terrible

To me the main issue with Denver is that they hired the wrong guy. Coaching matters and so far it appears Hackett is way, way over his head. It's real easy to be an "offensive guru" when you are coaching Aaron Rodgers.
Another example, of which there are many, of a team hiring the wrong dude.
Of course the new owners didn't hire him so he may be a one and done (if he even makes it to the end of the year).

He's definitely a big part of the problem but Wilson is just looking terrible so far. He has a shoulder problem and my gut says it's worse than he's letting on and that's why he has such a dead arm but the combination of bad coaching and Wilson playing so poorly is killing them.

The one where he threw the ball up for grabs just before getting hit and it got picked that's just something Wilson never did in his career. He was always so good at safely throwing the ball away to avoid a sack it drove me nuts his entire career in Seattle you'd get close and he'd somehow avoid the sack. Watching him airmail a pick like that really surprising

When your HC has to hire a "time management" consultant and STILL has time management issues, you are doomed.

And, yes, Russ is stinking it up so far. Makes Murray's deal look much better in contrast :biglaugh:

Russ's passer rating is only 3 points worse than Kyler's. Kyler been stinking it up too.

Although Russ somehow broke QBR because he has 0.

Hence, the smiley face (that I changed to laughing emoji to show I am joking).
