Because I'm obligated to check every week, our new dead money figure is.....
$38,219,392
In other words, enough dead money to pay two elite skill-position players.

Not when we have a number in dead money that is almost three times what Larry makes.
Him and Chandler are the only two worth the big bucks they are getting right now.
Also..... Isn't Brady making more than Fitz?
On the plus side we should be major players in next year's free agency. All that dead money is gone and we will have something like $70m to throw around.
He also has a poop ton of sponsors and what not..not sure if the wifey thing comes into play for a guy like him, but either way, not a bad spot to be in... That's for sure.Brady has never been among the top paid QB's, which is a position that garners more average pay than a WR.
The benefits of having a wife that makes far more than you - you can take the huge discount to help the team. Brady has generally made 8-10 million LESS a season than market value.

unfortunately, if Keim is still given the purse, i have no faith he's going to have a clue what to do with it. he hasn't for the last three years. expecting change at this point is an exercise in futility.
On what planet is 9 starters in 7 years (53 picks) solid drafting, especially when 3 are from this year, are starting because of injuries/suspensions, and a whopping two are on their second contract, which wouldn't be the case if anyone at all offered Rodney Gunter a dime?
It's been an unmitigated disaster, and I'm only going with the picks he actually made, not the ones he traded away in complete wastes like a 3rd and a 5th for Rosen, who we immediately moved on from?

Great, only 50% of first rounders make it to their second contract and Keim has... *looks*You know like only 50% of first rounders even make it to there second contracts right and it only goes down the further you get in the draft.
He’s pretty much in the middle of the pack when it comes to the draft. Those are stats bud we’ve been over this a 100x on this board.
We’ll have enough to bring back Sam Bradford. That should fix thingsI think we're going to be in the Top 10 in terms of cap, but not the top 5.
Basically, where we were THIS offseason.

Bruce was having a scotch and playing golf when Keim spent that cash
BA's failure to want to draft/develop a QBOTF left the Cards scrambling with no plan when CP retired.

PLanning for the future is Steve Keim's job. If he didn't want to do his job, he also takes responsibility for that.
Sorry Jon that’s the responsibility of the general manager not the coach and Bruce had nothing to do with signing Bradford, Glennon or taking a massive cap hit on a 1st round quarterback traded after year one.
I guess Steve’s not only a poor evaluator of talent he’s also a panty waste.
This is too funny.
Memories are short on this board.

The Rosen one is bad, but expected
The Bradford, Gresham and Crabtree are inexcusable
Add to that:
A Smith
Glennon
Nkemdiche
Bethea
all are career-defining moves and symptomatic of how bad Keim had mismanaged the roster
