having been INCREDIBLY skeptical of Palmer, dude's been lights out since the second half of last season and this is a great move to get the position locked up for the foreseeable future.

Great move. I think the memories of Kolb/Skelton/Lindley are finally washed clean from my conscience.

Yes he has. Do you recall the discussion we had several years ago about the Cards needing to draft a QB in the Rd 1, preferably with the 1st overall pick?
We now have a QB who was the first player drafted on the team. I'm thinking this is another omen that we win the SB, if not this year then next.

Let's face it; he has been Warneresque. Every time Palmer drops back, I expect a completion, just like I used to with Warner.

Another way of saying he reads the play well and throws with accuracy. *sigh*, so nice to see again. Except he has a stronger arm than Warner and has a little "Big Ben, tough to bring down" in him.

I really like this organization and team.

On top of everything you've said, Carson has really improved his footwork. Watch him climb a pocket dude, compared to years past. He really has some giddy up in his step. I think this is the best he's ever played.

The more I watch you can really see he understands the offense and is getting more and more comfortable in it, I see better offensive games coming soon!

I agree, BA and Moore are QB whisperers for sure.

A good solid look at everything there Redheart .
I think we are going to witness Palmer surpassing everything Warner did here . LET ME BE CLEAR, not because Palmer is a better QB than Warner , but because Palmer is now standing in a better situation than Warner had here . MB--SK--BA are working hand in hand , these players love this HC , and are happy playing for the Cardinal org. as a whole . Bruce Arians is the Best HC BY FAR in the 2014 NFL .

The extreme downside of mid season signings.

Why didn't they wait for a few more games? Why was it something they needed to do now?

I personally think they did it when they did to leverage their negotiations with Larry. Makes it easier if you can already say you have Palmer locked up.

This isn't a great contract, its an ok contract. Palmer is 35 years old and has had injury problems throughout his career. $$ could be a little too steep imo.

Luckily, its only a 3 year contract.

Still I feel like they could have got him cheaper than this. And obviously with the injury now, they'd have been better off waiting til off season to get this done.

Even with the injury the signing was a no brainer.

20/20 hindsight doesn't change that.
