Thanks for posting this. For those of you who are thinking TL;DR, here's the money graphs at the end:

It would look as if Palmer’s 2015 salary cap charge will be $15 million in 2015. Until something is done with Larry Fitzgerald’s contract the Cardinals will have one of the worst salary cap positions in 2015.

Things could also get more complex with the Cardinals salary cap if backup QB Drew Stanton plays well in Palmer’s absence. It was widely reported in 2013 that when Stanton signed his contract that he could earn up significant incentives in his contract if he performed well in a starting role. Considering Stanton has already played a few games this year he will likely be the man taking the majority of snaps on a playoff team which is often one of those hurdles to unlocking contract money. If he was to earn a raise it could put the Cardinals QB salary allocations in a spot they did not anticipate being just one day ago.

Just saw a report from b/r that close friends are saying he may want to retire after this.

That should be all you need to know about the validity of that report

It's bad but not Cowboys-Saints bad. They're over the cap and both Murray and Dez are UFA's. Fitz needs to take one for the team.

Saw a report that Carson was in the facility this morning at 7:45 to help the team get ready for Detroit. Not going to slink off with his new check. I'm curious if we see him on the sideline, helping Stanton during the game.

Go Cards!!!

That's exactly what I hoped he would do. We need him the same way we need Dockett, because aint nothing over. This is a team, High School Football style, where you think/know you can beat the world. Don't ever grow up, it's a trap.

Without a question he will be there every game on the sidelines. When the cameras pan to Stanton you will see Palmer right next to him.

The full Carson Palmer contract details

The move gives him significant security; if he can’t play through 2015 due to injury, he’ll still get $20.5 million he wouldn’t have previously received. Per a source with knowledge of the deal, here’s the full breakdown.
1. $6.5 million signing bonus.
2. $3.5 million roster bonus, earned on November 8.
3. $4.235 million in remaining fully-guaranteed base salary for 2014. (He already was due to earn $4.235 million for the balance of the season, and as a practical matter it already was guaranteed.)
4. $9.5 million 2015 roster bonus, due on the fifth day of the league year. The bonus is guaranteed for injury only at signing. As of the fifth day of the 2015 waiver period, the roster bonus becomes fully guaranteed.
5. $1 million 2015 base salary, guaranteed for injury only at signing. As of the fifth day of the 2015 waiver period, the base salary becomes fully guaranteed.
6. $6.5 million 2016 base salary. As of the fifth day of the 2016 waiver period, the base salary becomes fully guaranteed.
7. $6.5 million 2016 roster bonus, due on the fifth day of the league year. As of the fifth day of the 2016 waiver period, the roster bonus becomes fully guaranteed.
8. $8.15 million 2017 base salary. As of the fifth day of the 2016 waiver period, the base salary becomes fully guaranteed.
The cap numbers are $13 million in 2014, $14.5 million in 2015, $14.7 million in 2016, and $10.15 million in 2017.
The deal also includes a phony final season with a base salary of $16.5 million and a roster bonus of $8.15 million. The final year of the contract voids, however, if Palmer is on the roster on the fifth day of the 2018 waiver period.
