That is a scary question. If Bidwill really did hire Wilks then how can we trust him to select a quality GM?

And where would he even start to look? I think that both Rod Graves and Steve Keim were internal promotions.

Back to Peterson, I don't know if he's actually that frustrated with the scheme. He already has 2 INTs — the most he's had since 2012 is 3, so he'll likely have a five-year high in interceptions this year, which could mean another All-Pro designation.

Not joking, Steelers front office?

Gambo has spoken...

@Gambo987
Former teammate of Patrick Peterson tells me he doesn't want to be a part of a rebuild, wants to win a championship before he retires or have opportunity to win. Says he loves the coaches, speaks highly of Wilkes, he's not disgruntled about anything except winning.

You believe that?
Sounds like player speak to me.

With Dallas giving a 1st for a failure like Cooper you couldn't ask for a better time to trade PP away. If Cooper was worth a first then PP is worth two first and a second or third and in place of the 2nd or 3rd a quality starter along with the two #1s.

Who can trust this coaching staff WITH Peterson? I shutter to think about what would happen without him.

I wonder about that. It's a place to start:

https://www.steelers.com/team/front-office-roster/

They don't have bios for most of those guys, but it's interesting that you don't hear about Pittsburgh front office guys getting poached. There has to be a reason why that is.

How about Alec Halaby, the VP of Football Operations in Philly? He's worked with Howie Roseman since 2007.

That's a position that's so close to the owner that it's more about chemistry and philosophy than it is resume. It'll be impossible to know from the outside.

Yeah, chemistry is important with owner. That's why If M.Bidwill has to choose between Wilks and Keim, it is going to be Keim 100 out of 100 times. So very likely, Keim will get another chance to pick his head coach next year.

all that said, Peterson can eat a you know what. He's paid handsomely, for the most part since he's been on the team, they've been at least average. It's a bad year, that needs to be rectified. I get it if they do nothing in the off-season and bitching then, but now? *** and play ball and maybe tackle someone.
Maybe he is just making a statement, and based on his position on the team, a huge statement.

Per KTAR:

The reason Patrick Peterson wants out is he does not want to go through a re-build again, and wants to win a championship before he retires.

He has no issues with the organization, coaches, etc., etc.

Just wants to go to a winner now.
Yeah, and the Brooklyn Bridge is for sale.

I've banged on PP about his lack of tacking but the dude is a stud cover man and I would take him over anyone. I like this move by him.

If I'm Keim I'm asking for two 1st rounders for Peterson. If/when you don't get that offer, tell Peterson to suck it up and play out his remaining contract. The Cards have all of the leverage here. What's PP gonna do, sit out 2 1/2 years? If Keim manages to screw this up and takes anything less for Peterson he should be shown the door immediately. Hell, even if he does get this right he should probably still be shown the door.

We're missing our starting LG, C and RG but we are overall fairly healthy.

I don’t know if you’re missing 3/5 of the most important area of your team and you’re starting safety and starting CB those are some significant injuries and I wouldn’t call us healthy

I don’t blame him one bit for wanting out. However, I under no circumstances trade him on his terms. We trade him on our terms to maximize value.

We also clean house in this organization from top to bottom. Start fresh. Trade any attitudes on the team and cut dead weight. While your at it ask Larry if he would like to play for a contender.

Cards need an enema.

I wonder if Peterson actually quietly asked for a trade in offseason/preseason and is now trying to press the issue.

Also remember, LaCanfora was talking about this last week.
