I think it will go the other way. Denny is going to make a point about missing practice, and I would bet that Leinart doesn't play at all.

We might see a lot of Navarre & Davey battling it out for the #3.

Probably 6-8 plays, but it could be more if Matt shows coaches he can handle more.

I'd doubt it would be more than a quarter. And I suspect that - given (a) Matt's signing and (b) Navarre's lackluster performance - the Cards may want to give Rohan Davy a more lengthy look - Rohan might seem less risky and have more upside than Navarre in a #3 role.

If Matty is playing "quite a bit this year", that would mean our season is done... I am hopeful that is not the case...

Josh threw 270 passes last year, started 6 games. And Kurt's a year older. Hopefully with Edge on board we'll be less predictable and have a better blitz pickup RB. But remember the injury to Kurt last year occurred with him completely untouched, he literally fell down trying to run and hurt himself.

i'd be surprised if Leinart doesn't get ~ 100 passes off this year in real games. I certainly hope Warner stays healthy all year but he hasn't played more than 10 games in a season since 2001.

Even though he didn't sign quickly I still think leinart can actually help us win some games this year. Josh threw for nearly 400 yards in 2 games last year, and nearly 300 in 2 others, he averaged nearly 300 yards passing per start. With our WR's a guy like matt with his experience and understanding of the game should be able to do pretty well early in his career.

I expect him to look a lot better than Manning did for the Gmen as a rookie.
