Call me stupid, but I've seen you post that before. I'm just trying to understand the significance.

I mean, is it referring to a hive mind or something like that?

Yes it means because they are a hive mind as brothers

Yeah, but it’s not a comment about the board. It’s about us. me, Ouchie and brother not Ouchie got nicknamed The Borg by one of our friends years ago because it seemed like at parties, you’d see one of us, then turn around to see the other converge and then the other... like nowhere to run. Add in that more often then not, it seems like we share the same brain and there you have it...

Borg.

This is what I was talking about earlier. In reference to why the Pelicans couldn't fight back in the second half. The Suns SSOL teams did this to teams with offense but this time they did it with both defense and offense.

Brandon Ingram says "They had a rhythm."

Backup 5 has worked for him—it worked last night and it worked throughout the entire bubble. That’s 9 games so far that he’s been consistently good at the position. He’ll have a bad game or two, but every player has that.

He’s already proven you wrong. How many game’s does he need for you to be satisfied?

I know we want to place a high degree of weight on what we saw in the bubble... but I don't. So, in my own perspective, we've seen Saric, this year, in 1 game. Yes, he managed in the moments he was called upon to play the 5. But I'll need to see him in this role, this year, over the course of many more games before I am willing to say he is a legit backup 5 in the NBA.

Yep...god forbid there is an ounce of positivity on this board.
I did not intend to sound negative. I do think that this is probably the ideal way for CP3 to play. He facilitates the game, plays solid D, while not trying to dominate the scoring. It helps prevent his greatest potential weakness which is injury.

Mikal is a stud. We think of him as a complementary player, but he is really a potential star player in the Scottie Pippen type of mold. Cam is right there with him. I was reading a book to my grandkids and it reminded me of those two.

“Thing One and Thing Two” from Cat in the Hat. All action all the time. Everywhere on the court.

Saric is a competent backup 5. He has a hard time matching up against some centers, but they have a hard time matching up with him too.

I can’t say enough about Payne. He is our backup pg and he looks like he has that position nailed down. Looks like his Bubble play was not a fluke.

This is a solid team that plays beautiful team ball on offense and lockdown defense in longer and longer spurts. That kind of team will win a lot of games and is built to win in the playoffs. It is also a joy to watch.

Got to give credit to the coaching staff, they looked well prep for last night. Zion got some layups but they still challenged his shots well. We immediately guarded his left a few times, i dont know how many times we swiped at the ball or took away his left hand, made Zion very uncomfortable last night.

We post “Borg” when the other has already posted what we were about to post, which happens frequently.

Now, the legend of DB!... that shall remain a mystery until the Suns actually win a championship.

I know @elindholm was particularly fond of that being thrown around back in the day.

I re-watched the game this morning and it seemed to me that the Pelicans believed they would win that game up until that step back 3 that Crowder nailed to beat the shot clock with about 7 minutes to go in the 3rd. That basket put us up by 32, the NO starters mailed it in from there.

29 to 32 seems pretty negligible.

Our offense was getting what it wanted ~the whole game until the 4th when the deep bench played. The Crowder three at the end of the clock was one of like 3 possessions they defended us well in the first 3 Q.

They looked like they were going through the motions after that shot. It seemed like it sucked all the emotion out of them although their bench players still pushed hard.

Have to admire Cam Payne boxing out Zion for rebound.
