Adam Schefter apparently getting ready to report that Q has requested to be traded and that he no longer wants to be a Cardinal!

That would suck but it's par for the course with Drew Rosenhaus as your agent. Someone else on your team at your position gets a big contract you can bet that Rosenhaus is going to want more and will demand a trade if it helps get the contract.

I saw that on to. But Adam said nothing about him not wanting to be a Cardinal. And then he went on to say they'll listen to offers but will try to work on a new contract with Boldin. I really hope the Cardinals don't trade Boldin but if they do I wou'd like a 1st and a 3rd round pick for him.

Not surprised. But still floored. :thud: They're forcing our hand to the Cowturds IMO.

Just saw that , I haven't heard any quotes from Q so I hope this isn't the truth. They said the Cards are willing to work on a new deal but not a trade. I hope Q isn't like Chad Johnson

Not necessarily it's standard operating procedure for Rosenhaus to demand a trade if he wants a new contract. doesn't mean he really wants a trade just that he wants a new contract with a new bonus which he gets a % of.

Boldin's been underpaid since day 1, I can't say I blame him. Fitzgerald has pretty much already made 2 times as much money over his shorter career

I just can't imagine a trade scenario. We'd have a huge hole at receiver...

I think it's clear the Cards don't want to trade Q.

I think people just need to remember who his agent is and how he does business. Rosenhaus is a very confrontational agent, holdouts, trade demands etc. Players hire him because he's pretty good at getting them more money.

But you have to take anything he demands with a grain of salt he usually means I want more money.

No way. I want the Cowboys both first round picks. Nothing less.

Correct obviously Rosenhaus doesn't create contract problems if his client doesn't want a new contract.

But if they really are asking for a trade it doesn't necessarily mean Boldin wants to be traded, it's just a standard Rosenhaus tactic during a negotiation. He knows it puts pressure on a team to get the contract done.
