Edgerrin James, you are due to make $6.75m this year and there are 28 other starting running backs I'd want on my team before you. I would rather my team have Rudi Johnson, Tatum Bell, Darius Walker and even Thomas Jones. Only Julius Jones, Cedric Benson and Lendale White are worse in my opinion.
Matt Leinart, you are due about $6m this year. Perhaps if you stay healthy and can start to understand NFL defenses, you will be worth a fraction of that money.
Q's contributions are above both of these guys. I say, Arizona should cut Edgerrin and send his salary to Anquan Boldin. Arizona might want to get on the phone and deal Matt Leinart, too, if that's what it takes to keep the best receiver in the league on the team.
The draft is like Christmas for fans of all underacheiving teams. It's their playoffs and Super Bowl rolled into one. Teams get some tubular gifts on Saturday and will take them out of their packages in the near future. However, my Christmas has been ruined by the news that Boldin wants to leave. For me, there is no soldiering on with the Cardinals if Warner remains benched and Boldin is dealt. I have no contract with this organization and I only started rooting for the Cardinals when they grabbed my favorite player, Kurt Warner and had a player I was intrigued by who became my next favorite, Boldin.
I now really love a lot of the team and I felt like with more than half of the top 6 players on the roster injured, this next season held great potential if everyone stayed healthy. I was also psyched for a revamped running game. How supremely disappointing it is!
