He looks like he's still hurt. Guy needs to play. I think Bartel beats him out for #2 at this point.

Best wishes to get better, and no way to avoid it, but if you want to play you need practice. So looks like it's going to be Kolb, Bartel and Coyle tonight.

I have high hopes for Skelton in the future. My primary concern is that he gets healthy. I'm not concerned with who is #2 at this point in time.

Man if Kolb goes down in the reg season this team is even more screwed if Skelton can't get healthy.

I think Kolb is a walking concussion waiting to happen. #2 will be critical this season IMO.

I agree, Bartel looks good but is not as good as Skelton. It is Kolb I'm worried about.

The more I watch Kolb, the more I tend to believe he needs a drive or two to get it going. He kinda looks tight, and acts like he doesn't want to throw the pick. Then his touch comes in and the chains start moving. A lot of other QBs do it the same way, while others light it up at the get and then...

I'm buying a Kolb jersey, I'm thinking he stays healthy and does well. But with our history who knows! :D

Skelton > Bartel

Not so sure about that. Skelton hasn't really played this preseason. Bartel looks above OK.

I will bet you 1$ that Bartel moves above Skelton on the depth chart by game 2.

Whiz does not care about salaries.

I agree he'll move up.. But only due to a lack of playing time and reps due to a high ankle sprain that can take up to 6 weeks to heal. No bet.

Yamon, that "sack" looked like the one that sacked Brady for a year. Skelton is still my man. But I am glad Bartel looked so good, talk about a years difference..

4th year. From a small school. Could be that a lot of people have underestimated Mr. Bartel and he's finally starting to "get it". He looks really composed and makes some very good reads and throws. But he also seems to make one bone head mistake every game.

In fact the reason that Skelton came out and Bartel played in the last game of '10 could be that CKW and staff were so impressed with what they saw in Bartel in practice when they picked him up for insurance.

Who knows? But it is good to know our season likely won't be totally done if Kolb gets hurt.

By the way with the new rules this season it doesn't really make any difference who is the #2 or #3 QB.

It's always nice to have a #2 who can legitimately challenge the #1, but I will also be happy if we end up with two backups who can play.

It's nice to know the Cardinals have two keepers (Skelton and Bartel) behind Kolb.

I know this is crazy talk, but Bartel made some Warner-like throws last night.
