Ok guess Kyler gets your vote for starting QB next season. Got it
Aye, how about posting something of substance instead of just doing your monthly “I hate Kyler” posts? Go to the “Kyler Murray Debate Thread” where you can read & take notes from people who actually & rightfully criticizes Kyler with substance.

Or… these teams are watching tape and are seeing all the missed opportunities from the quarterback position and give Petzing his due.
I feel like you’re not understanding this on purpose.

So I’ll just ask you this.

- Would Petzing be getting interviewed if he engineered bottom 5 offensive statistics across the board?

It’s a yes or no question.

This would be a really weird fit. The Bears current offensive personnel seems like the antithesis of what Drew wants for his scheme:

- a QB in Caleb who is best when he improvs
- a RB in Swift who doesn't like contact
- a lot of resources invested in WRs
- Cole Kmet is OK, but he is certainly no McBride

I think his interview is likely just a favor to get his name out there for HC jobs, but it's the Bears, so you never know.

I think they’ll hire Ben Johnson once Detroit is done.

I think the idea is you look at the similarities between Kyler and Caleb, and you want an offense to let Caleb grow into.

i know we dont want to hear it -- but the Cards by nearly every measure had a top 12 offense

Yards? 12th
Yards per play? 7th
Points? 12th
Third down Conversion? 8th
Yards per Passing Attempt? 17th
Yards per Rush? 3rd

it needs to be better on a variety of measures, but there is something to build on here--
Eh. Offense underperformed it's talent because it is too conservative. I don't really care how we are relative to the whole league, I am concerned about how well we are maximizing our talent.

I understand what you are saying but statistical rankings have to be considered. The only player who I think was underserved was MHJ, but I also think MHJ was part of the reason why. Ultimately, I think the offense pretty much much met it’s talent level.

Really - so you think 21 touchdown passes by Kyler, and Wilson and Dorch's performances were acceptable?

I had much higher expectations than that.

but if they were top 12 in scoring, does it really matter if the TDs were rushing TDs vs passing TDs?

the Cards had a top 12-ish offense, and, they have significant room for improvement both can be true

I think you're all a little too harsh on Petzing. I really don't want Kyler out there trying to learn a brand new playbook in what is going to be a make or break year.

I just don't feel there are a lot of spectacular options out there on the market.
