I'd feel a lot of things but 'guilt' over getting the number one wouldn't be one of them. After seeing teams get Duncan and LeBron etc etc we're f'n owed.

Dude... after watching so much putridity with the Cardinals for the first twenty years of their existence... only to then watch them pass the torch to the Suns for the last decade... to NEVER get the first pick in EITHER sport has been beyond painful as the next game changing superstar has ALWAYS been out of grasp.

We Phoenicians have been dying for decades to get either a Franchise QB or a dominant C. To be this close to one... who’s a home state guy... i want it so bad I can taste it.

Okay... I’m getting Tango-esque here, so I’ll stop.

But just ONCE... in a BIG TIME draft... it would be nice to be the team that holds all the cards, gets all the talk and finally gets a guy the valley could REALLY go gonzo over.

I just read tonight that the suns never even moved up in the draft!! I mean wtf? The only saving grace is the suns drafted some very good players over the years and have spit in the draft gods face like back at ya.

Yeah to draft a stud like Ayton would be so unreal. You add a player like him or Bagley to Booker and Jackson...THATS a nucleus to savor.

You guys are hilarious, it's only a 25% chance suns get number 1 pick, i have no expectation they get it.

I'm hoping to at least get 2, bagley is a freak, or hope if we fall to 3 sac or orlando are 2, two teams which could easily take donci c still leaving bagley

you say this... but deep down in your heart, in the place you ultimately can't deny but are too fearful to say outloud... you know you're dying for that first pick.

Yo! We can still dream??

Besides, 25% chance at a star center is as close as the suns have been since that coin flip for Kareem.

I want to preface this comment by saying that I am not suggesting that the draft sites are correct any more than fans.

That being said I do somewhat wonder if we are too high on some prospects around here. Draft sites for instance are pretty consistently either Doncic or Ayton going top 2 and it is mixed as to which one is #1.

The big thing however is that I have noticed that Bagley is pretty consistently outside of the top 3 on most mock drafts. I do wonder if some on this site might be a little too high on him? Granted I do like him, but not more than Ayton or Doncic.

Well I've thought for a few days that Doncic could go higher than Bagley.

Just wondering...if we missed out on Ayton and took Doncic #2 could we parlay our other picks and maybe aquire Bamba? Is that doable? But would we....

I could certainly see a world where Bamba is there around 8 or 9 so I certainly could see us putting together a package that nets us him. To get to 8 we would likely have to package 15 & 16 as well as a player (One of Bender or Chriss maybe?). I could see that happening if the team we are looking to trade with was high on one of those two in the 2016 draft and think a change of scenery could help them.

I started thinking along those lines too...Or maybe Warren and just one of those picks?

I think it will cost more like 15/16/Chriss to move into top-8. There is a pretty defined upper tier, and I think most teams are onboard with 7-8 top prospects. I wouldn't mind if it meant we could grab a top tier talent like Bamba, Carter or Mikal Bridges. The Suns have to be looking at moves to consolidate young players/draft picks and this would be a good one.

Its beginning to look like we are not going to get that Milwaukee pick. The Bucks have quite a few winnable games from here on out. Wasn't there something really weird about ending up #17?

Funny. We might end up cheering for Miami to end up 17 in order to push Milwaukee back into the 16 slot.

It seems the Jazz and Heat have the best chances. The Bucks schedule is pretty cake too. It should be close but I think the pick will convey this season.

If it’s the Jazz and Heat it will be 16 and 17 that we end up with.

I agree I think Bucks end up with 45 wins and the jazz and heat end up with 46 each.

Sunday should be interesting. Suns play GS....Hawks play Magic...Grizz play Blazers.

Another win by the Hawks or Grizzlies should put a death nail in their attempts to catch us. Sunday is almost a freebie for us.

Hawks probably have to beat Orlando for them to win another game. The remaining games after that are very tough.

Washington won. That is good news. We need to root for Miami to win tonight.
