The Heat lost last night so there is that.

Getting the best draft slots is very important with the Suns and Heat picks. However, I long for the days when the Suns were good at drafting later in the draft.

Yep. That is exactly the idea. The worst teams get decent picks. So they can improve some, to get a chance to get the top two picks so they can improve a lot. I know it seems counter-intuitive, but to me it makes sense anyway.
What? You just said it’s a bad idea, but you like it anyway?

We do need for Detroit to win games and Miami to lose games. That might be as important as our own pick.

Problem is Detroit's play is far from convincing. Based on their post Griffin-trade performance I highly doubt that they will make the play-off unless Reggie Jackson comes back soon and/or they show heavy improvement.

I think the Clippers must be ecstatic to get Tobias Harris for Blake Griffin. He may not be as dramatic as Griffin but he is a very nice player at a more reasonable price. The Suns could use this type of player.

OK. Well, I am not sure how much of a difference it is really going to make in the end whether we end up with the worst or second to worst record, since it is a draw anyway. So yes, within reason. Of course it matters if we drop out of the top three. But if Detroit passes Miami, that pick will drop from 15 to 12.
Point taken on the Miami/Detroit race.

Well looks like Ayton's stock is going to drop. I don't see UofA letting him play for the rest of the year and no tournament for the Wildcats.

Again, I can't see his stock dropping. Scouts have already seen enough of him to know what he is. This scandal won't impact his pro eligibility at all.

Why? All we heard is that Miller allegedly had a conversation with an agent about paying someone to get Ayton to the UofA. What does that have to do with Ayton? Unless he himself or his family said "ok", it's all much ado about nothing. And right now, there is no indication that Ayton had anything to do with the conversation.

As long as Ayton can play, the NBA will want him.

Fultz was out injured with University of Washington and he was drafted #1.

Yup. Ayton might have not known anything about this. He might have been manipulated behind the scenes without his knowledge. BTW. If he is just finding this out now, or even in the last few weeks, it could explain his uninspired play and even frustration with UofA and the coaching staff.

This actually might want me to draft him more, because it explains his seeming disinterest on the floor.

Neh, that was a knock on him in High School as well. All that said, I'd still take him if I had #1 pick.

Why? Because he may or may not have taken money?

Do you think NBA execs are clueless about how college basketball works?

Well. We are in the #1 position. The Miami pick is 15 and will likely remain there based upon how Detroit is playing. The Milwaukee pick is half a game from transferring.

With Booker dropping 30 points and the suns being more competitive now I think we're in trouble.

ps...Booker played 39 minutes..more than anyone else. Nice. :sarcasm:

As long as Bender, Chriss and Jackson get their minutes we should be all right against the Pels. Would add some insurance if Triano gives Ulis a good stint.

Dallas win!

Let's get a sac win.

We have a couple games we'll win against memphis and atlanta in the next week, before the schedule gets brutal.

Looking good. Honestly I'm much more worked about them taking the euro hype, then them not getting a top pick at this point.

Sort of shocked by the Mavericks win. Like the Nets win as well.

Key games tomorrow night.
76ers v Heat.
Wizards v Bucks

If the Sixers and Wizards win, the Bucks pick will be tied for #16.
