I really like Vander Esch.

OMG, if we can get that dude to patrol the middle, we’d be set on defense. He’d be the Cardinals version of Karlos Dansby / Luke Kuechly.

Here are Kuechly’s numbers:

6’3” 240
40 YARD DASH: 4.58 SEC
BENCH PRESS: 27 REPS
VERTICAL JUMP: 38.0 INCH
BROAD JUMP: 123.0 INCH
3 CONE DRILL: 6.92 SEC
20 YARD SHUTTLE: 4.12 SEC
60 YARD SHUTTLE: 11.43 SEC

And LVEs:

6’4” 256
40 YARD DASH: 4.65 SEC
BENCH PRESS: 20 REPS
VERTICAL JUMP: 39.5 INCH
BROAD JUMP: 124.0 INCH
3 CONE DRILL: 6.88 SEC
20 YARD SHUTTLE: 4.15 SEC
60 YARD SHUTTLE: 11.57 SEC

16lbs heavier than Clark Kent and not quite as strong or fast, but explosiveness and agility numbers are off the charts. This is who I hope the Cards target. I just would like it to be later in Rd 1. Maybe get an early 2nd to move down and then draft your QB.

You could argue that ILB is a huge need with only Bynes, DBuc, & Reddick inside.

The other unicorn I love in this draft is S Derwin James. That dude is an absolute freak!

I don`t know if Cards will spend a draft pick on TE.If they do i would love to see a real ass kicking old fashioned tough run blocking TE who can help provide Pass Protection when the OTackle needs help,A TE who can knock down DEs and LBs when needed and also make the tough catch over the middle.

Durham Smythe (Notre Dame)
Ryan Izzo (Florida State)
Dalton Schultz (Stanford)

Whoever that guy is, I don't want him if he is going to sink so low as to sign a contract with the Cards.

Nothing drives me crazier than lazy player Comps. Luke Kuechly and Vander Esch are both white but not in the same league at all. Kareem Martin put up similiar numbers to Clowney and you see nothing came of that.

LK might legit be the single greatest college Linebacker ever.

College 3 seasons

Player 1
Tackles 532 Solo 299 INTs 7

Player 2
Tackles 188 Solo 128 INTs 3

Guess who's who. Listen I like Vander Esch but he ain't LK at all

This team has needs everywhere so I don’t get the question. I mean other than pass rusher and RB...

At the very least we need a backup RB and you can never have too many pass rushers. So everywhere back where you started. ;)

This is a good question:

1. Shequan Barkley, RB
2. Quenton Nelson, OG
3. Will Hernandez, OG
4. Taven Bryan, DT
5. Deshon Elliiot, FS
6. Jaylen Samuels, FB/TE/H-Back
7. Dalton Shultz, TE
8. Wyatt Teller, OG <--- Really like this kid.
9. Tre Flowers, SS/LB
10. Ryan Nall, FB

I didn't list any QB, WR, OC, ILB, CB since I think they are team needs.

SK will take the BPA who is on his board at the time of the pick. We've had the debate many times on this forum as to how much his BPA incorporates Position of Need. Sometimes those two definitions intersect but even if they don't SK will select his BPA based on his rating.

That makes all the players in the draft fair game.

On paper, Cards did not need a WR when Fitz was on the board. Denny Green knew Fitz from his time in Minny and went ahead and took him anyway---BPA. If, by some weird twist in space and time, RB Barkley is available when the Cards pick, take him even with DJ already on the roster.

Yeah, I wonder what cranky poster chewed you out.......must have been one of those crazy people on this board. LOL!

I don't think she was cranky---she was just the one brave enough to confront the crazy guy who quoted Groucho on this very serious forum.
